  • fucking brilliant

    Never trust governments

  • Rhodesia show us how incredible african nations could become, but of course the champagne socialists in the west prefer to see africans butchering each other before they could bring themselves to tolerate white minority rule, so now millions of africans are trying to come to the west and voluntarily live under white rule. Oh the irony.

  • @WinchesterRanger ....Rhodesia wasnt the bread basket of Africa.....more like the basket case of Africa. Its GDP per capita was worse than that of Zimbabwe today (and that's pretty bad). I would state that African are trying to escape tryranny, be it from Mugabe or Idi Amin or Ian Smith, rather than looking to be under "white rule". BTW Last time I checked the leader of the free world was pretty much a black chappie from Kenya. Kinder torpedoes your argument son!lol!

  • @MrZingy The president was born in Hawaii, and your lame attempt to resurrect the birther issue is yet more proof that you are little more than a worthless troll looking for an argument, as if more were needed.

You'll get yours one way or another, Karma never fails, remember that.

  • Comment removed

  • @WinchesterRanger ..barking up the wrong tree in typical Rhodie fashion. I was merely emphasising the point that your "white rule" comment is misplaced since the "leader of the free world" is not white. Speaking of karma, that's Santa Claus and tooth fairy stuff son.....not exactly quaking in my boots I'll have you know!

  • @MrZingy What? Santa doesn't exist? Have I been lied to for 34 years!!!!!!????????

  • Comment removed

  • my regret?...i was too young to fight for my country back then. I'll say no more than that...

  • @vaun101 I reckon you could have had a a crack at 'em with a catapult mate!

  • @kneeslider47 lol, cud hardly hold up my old-mans slr... he had to support it so i cud shoot the thing!

  • @vaun101 Agreed - the SLR is quite a heavy rifle, especially when compared to M16 / M4 derivatives. That said, the FN FAL (SLR) packs a heavier punch so its horses for courses really. I think the FN is a great old boomer & far superior to the SA80 family.

  • @kneeslider47 ..rather blood thirsty are you my son!

  • @MrZingy Haha! Not at all Zingy not at all - these systems are merely the tools of my trade (plus, more often these days, a bloody computer!)

  • @kneeslider47 ...well it has been alledged that the pen is mightier than the sword!!!

Help me with this. Given the Taliban are the historical inhabitants of the land (Afganistan), then why are they called " insurgents"? Technically the NATO forces are the insurgents. Perhaps it is easier to say that we are killing "insurgents" rather than stating that you are descimating the local populous. Rhodesians did this with the freedom fighters...they were labelled "commie terrs". Makes one wonder!

  • @MrZingy Yeah, its one of those "One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter" scenarios I think. As old as conflict itself. That said, many of the Talibs are not actually Afghans. Many of them are from Iran & Pakistan for example. Even the Afghan Pashtun fighters oftn operate in areas away from their home village, so as to be unknown among the local populous & therefore harder to recognise. Annoyingly the opposite also occurs, where fighters operate locally so they can blend in!

  • I'd love to have seen the face on the poor Zambian Air traffic Controller after recieving that statement. "Oh I'm sorry can you repeat?" He was probably thinking about getting a spot to eat or something when that TX came through! Hahaha!

  • Sorry kneeslider47 - I thought Zingy was the Brit NCO but I see it is you who were the one. I have removed my incendiary comments about both Jr & Sr NCO's...my barbs at Zingy notwithstanding.

  • @tprdfh51

    Haha! No problem dude.

  • Comment removed

  • Hi kneeslider! biker like me? yeh isnt that twat a piece of shit! just be nice to ask Nkomo's Matabele what they think of uncle Bob, still: the world dosen't give a shit as long as blacks are killing blacks!

Mmmmm, just got to meet MISTER ZINGY tho'

  • @alanvt1

Hi Alan - yeah I ride a Triumph Bonneville at the moment so not too much kneesliding happening these days! Maybe I should change my name to "Pegslider?" Reckon Mr Zingy got his moniker from making Zinger burgers at KFC all day? Though I wasn't born until 1977, I still feel bad about how you guys were treated by my government at the time - bloody dreadful! Wish we could go in & retake Rhodesia instead (any oil there?!!!!)

  • As a Rhodesian,be nice to have a chat to "mr zingy" who knows? mayby show him the error of his ways! Armchair warrior!! LIVE THE LIFE LIKE ME! shit COWARD! time,,, place,,,

  • @alanvt1

I'm not a Rhodesian Alan, but a "chat" with him would be fun eh? Anyone can talk tough while sat behind a computer. Would have loved to have seen his face during a mortar attack - hahahaha!

  • Rhodesia was the best thing that ever happened to Africa! Look how satan's playboy mugabe took a perfect country and drove it into the ground!

  • What a pity Africa is now run by barbarous savages - a lost, dark continent. No more hope, Civilization has left.

  • @TheDollarMaker Problem is Western Civilization seems to be in retreat and decline everywhere. Look at The Mother Country!

  • Rhodesia always

  • @Cavelson Rhodisia always ......was doomed to fail!

  • @MrZingy A pitty indeed.

  • @Cavelson Nope....more like good riddance!!!!

  • @MrZingy Balls. What we did in life...will echo in eternity. God bless Rhodesia. God Bless Ian Douglas Smith.

  • @MrZingy you are a retard bud...get with the program.

  • @tprdfh51 .. and exactly what program is that, bud? Perhaps its your program that reads " go to Africa, fight a losing cause for a despotic maniac called Smith, lose that war, run away to Canada, feel pity and empty for the rest of my life". "Truth is a bitch" as I believe they say in your adopted neck of the woods.

  • @MrZingy the only despotic maniac in Zimbabwe/Rhodesia was/is Mugabe - Nkomo and ZANU-PF. FWIW bud, losing causes are the best ones to fight...something I doubt very much you have much experience with. BTW, I was a Canadian who volunteered to serve as a Reg Force soldier in the Rhodie Army...it was the Rhodies who adopted me while I served in their army. "Pity and empty"...hardly - best time of my life spent serving and fighting with the Rhodesians - too bad you didn't.

  • @tprdfh51 ...whilst you "fought along side the Rhodies"...the Canadian Government supporter the legitimate cause of the freedom fighters. Let me put it language you will understand - " your Government was shooting at you bud!" lol. Bet that makes you feel really clever!!!!

  • @MrZingy your appreciation of "the Canadian Government" at the time and it's support of the PF is flawed...like your charachterization of the PF as "freedom fighters." Guess who has "freedom" now in Zimbabwe Mr. Zingy? Ya, Robert Mugabe and ZANU PF, that's who. You know what makes me feel "really clever"? Reading the tripe you spew out of your keyboard makes me feel like a genius. Whats the matter Zingy...supporting scum who shoot down airliners and murder survivors got you feeling guilty?

  • @tprdfh51 Canadian Government ratified the imposition of sanctions on Rhodesia by the Commonwealth. The right to self determination is a universal right, a right that the Rhodesian Front denied the majority of its people based on no other criteria than the colour of skin. The shooting down of RH825 was a direct results of the Rhodesian Front's barbaric policies. Denying a people legitimate channels of expression will undoubtedly lead to desparate acts. Their blood is on the hands of IDS alone.

  • @MrZingy if NIBMAR was in effect at this moment very few if any of the former British colonies in Africa would be able to qualify as allowing a "universal right for self determination" through majority rule at the ballot box. How does it feel to support scum who campaign for the right for self determination by majority rule only to deny it to the majority of their fellow Africans once they gain power? The real blood is on the hands of simpletons like you who champion the Mugabes of the world.

  • @tprdfh51 ....here's the funny thing. I actually dont support Mugabe. Like Smith, he is a brutal despotic leader. However, unlike Smith his initial claim to rule the country was born out of fair democratic principles (not UDI). It is hard core RACISTS like you that turned the world against Rhodesia.

  • @MrZingy sorry Zingy...I am no "hardcore racist" - my first born grandson is mixed race as is his sister...their father is of fine African of West Indian descent. No matter what critics like you might say; their future one of majority rule...long live majority rule in spite of Mugabe and ZANU-PF!

  • @tprdfh51 ..well lets see here. You claim that you fought a war that was solely based on racial lines and you claim not to be racist. I trust you see where this is going. You may have shown your daughter is racist, but that does not absolve you of your crimes. Imagine what your grandchildren will go through when they learn that their grandfather chose to kill people becuse they were striving for their basic human rights. Good luck mate!

  • P.S...your upload about "wanting to be in the Rhodesian army"? Lame, really lame!

  • @MrZingy not as lame as your pathetic understanding of British Colonial history and it's role in bringing civil society to a very savage world out there...Zingy boy, you have confirmed that my appreciatiion of your intellect and charachter in my first posting was flawed; calling you a retard was charitable.

  • @MrZingy

Firstly, your tag-line, "Mr Zingy" is pretty concerning. Was that the nickname your "favourite" uncle gave you on one of his late night visits? Also, your political stance is both childish & humiliating (for you) in its simplicity. I'd advise you to keep quiet and not reply to this message, lest you wish to embaress yourself further.

  • @kneeslider47 ..how quaint? You sound like just another washed up drunken Rhodie propping up some bar in Austrialian whilst wallowing in self indulgent pity. Embarass myself?lol? Rhodesians were an embarassment to the civilised world!

  • @MrZingy

Being a washed up, drunken Rhodie in Australia (no "N" required) sounds pretty fun to me actually! I'm a British Army NCO whose annoyance for my Nation's indifference to the plight of our countymen in the 1970's is exceeded only by your untutored ignorance. (Note: Feel free to query me on this post - I did use some big words.....)

  • Comment removed

  • @kneeslider47 ...NCO whatever! Sound more like a squaddie! Whatever the case you certain appear to be a royal waste of tax payers money. Couldnt you get a proper job? Big words indeed - for a squaddie. Ten push ups and off to bed with you - little boy!lol!

  • @MrZingy

An NCO is a squaddie Zingy - as opposed to a Comissioned Officer (nicknamed "Ruperts" in the Brit Army), you silly sausage!

  • @MrZingy

And just the ten press ups? What are you - a pansy? I've just done an extra forty - just for you my friend......

  • @kneeslider47 ...oh right, one of those comprehensive type........hmmmmm that actually explains a fair bit. Fifty push ups and one GCSE...smashing stuff son!

  • @MrZingy 9 GCSE's, 3 A-levels & and a HND in Aeronautical Engineering to be precise old bean! By the way, consider this. Many of the individuls that you are attacking on this post lost everything they had after the Bush War. Some of them will be ex servicemen who were fighting to protect their homes, livelihoods, families etc. Forget the politics, they were ordinary blokes but exceptional soldiers. I don't know who you are or what you do, but in those circumstances, what would you have done?

  • @kneeslider47 ..but that's just the point mate. You cant forget the politics. You cant go and start killing people whose cause is one of merely seeking self determination in the land of their birth. You CAN chose not to fight an unjust war. You tell me what you would do if the Bangladeshi immigrants to the UK declared UDI and denied you the vote. Laughable isn't it?

  • @MrZingy

I can see where you are coming from (in a way) but I work with a black Zimbabwean who is old enough to remember the Bush War. He and his family worked for a white landowner who they all thought the world of. he told me he'd give anything to see Zimbabwe returned to being part of the British Empire again. That'll never happen of course but he genuinely believes that Mugabe & his gov't have utterly wrecked a great country.

  • @kneeslider47 ......Mugabe and Smith were cut from the same cloth. Both ready to scacrifice the masses for the frivolous debauchery of a few. Mugabe's failure will never justify the atrocities of the Rhodesian Front. Mugabe is merely a product of the hatred that IDS fostered. I see you find Smiths murderous raids on the Zambian people funny - do you also laugh at the British soldiers coming back from Afganistan without limbs?

  • @MrZingy

The simple truth is this - Smith may not have been Jesus Christ but its fair to say that Rhodesia under white rule was a far more stable instititution than what "Zimbabwe" is today. Mugabe is a rapist out for his own ends. Most politicians are lets face it, but most also do a better job at covering their spoor unlike that self-serving racist bastard. Oh, and also, as a patrol medic, I hated seeing injured soldiers or civilians. Insurgents getting bombed though is fucking great !!

  • @kneeslider47 ...why was it more stable under Smith? Landmines, grenade proof windows, rationing, shooting down aircraft................real frikkin stable! Politicians will label people "commie terrs" or "gooks" or " insurgents" and then tell the brainless like you that its OK to kill them now. Politicians pray off your type. Watch the British army cut and run from Afganistan........unfortunately a Taliban victory no matter how you cut it.

  • @MrZingy Well tell me, apart from taking the moral PC high ground, what have you DONE with your life Zingy? You have a lot to say, thats for sure, but have you backed it up with actions? Have you perhaps joined UNICEF or a similar peaceable Liberal operation. I'd respect that. Me? I don't care about politics or politicians as they are all self-serving worms. I dislike them all. I joined the forces to GIVE something back to Britain & have an adventurous life. I've achieved that thank you.

  • @kneeslider47 ..you are but a mere pawn in political games that you do not have the capacity to understand let alone influence. There is no bravery in that. There is bravery and honour in making conscious moral decisions to not to be party to injustices. "Give back to Britain?" .....are you serious? Do you think what is happening in Afganistan serves the British people? If you died in Afganistan, would you be remembered as fighting a noble cause?

  • Comment removed

  • @MrZingy

Well well. Who's being patronising now? You seem to naturally assume that because I'm a Soldier, I'm a mere brain dead moron who drives a tank or something. I'm a member of a Corps that makes understanding & influence its core business. A friend of mine recently briefed the PM on certain matters, so your previous statement (as well as being haughty) was hopelessly incorrect. Kudos on the whole "Do-fucking-nothing" stance though, bet the chicks love that.

  • @kneeslider47 ...by inference your actions are primarily driven by a need to " impress the chicks". I would say that is representative of your intellectual disposition. You have a primative, if not misguided, understanding of the politics of Southern Africa. Probably best you stick to marching, saluting and shining boots.

  • @MrZingy Not a very nice chap are you Zingy? You obviously like to provoke from behind the safety of your keyboard and I have little patience for your type. Armchair experts with 20/20 hindsight who are the first to cheer at political / military victory, yet are swift to condemn at anything less. When I'm old, at least I can say to my kids "I did...." The closest you'll likely ever come to that will be - "I saw on TV......" Enjoy your life of being the grey man.

  • @kneeslider47 .....if you wear your ignorance on your sleeve, dont get upset when you are called out on it. Unlike you, I did not see Rhodesia on TV, I did not see Westlands farm on an internet channel. I lived these experiences firsthand. So my dear friend, when it comes to Rhodesia, I would hardly think of you as an subject matter expert. Your bravado is equally unimpressive.

  • @MrZingy Haha! Brave words from a chemical engineer. If you dislike military exploits so much why be active on this post anyway? Go and find a topic that entertains you like catalytic cracking or something equally exciting. I'm surprised you weren't offered a place in Mugabe's Government with such rapier-like intellect and left wing views.

  • @kneeslider47 ..I dislike unintelligent military exploits as much as I appear to dislike unintelligent military personnel. I am not Zimbabwean, so a place in Mugabe's government would be a stretch. Let's do this.......why dont you and your incandescent NHD continue to dodge IED's and sniper rounds........whilst your political masters play poker with your lives. I may not agree with your views, but, even I, believe your life neednt be wasted on poorly constituted political posturing.

  • @MrZingy Well, your last sentence is the first thing you've said that I agree with. The sooner we leave Afghan the better in my opinion. However, just to pull out would be a travesty of justice and a waste of money. The only way to do it is to get their Army, Police & Gov't capable of doing their jobs with the respect of the local nationals. Not an easy job, but hopefully worthwhile. Shame Pakistan isn't helping either us or them in this regard though!

  • @MrZingy Oh and what on earth does NHD stand for? I've a feeling that it isn't "national history day" though!

  • @kneeslider47 ...HND (dont be flippant....lest I whack you on the head with my PhD. lol!)

  • @MrZingy Hahaha! Good comeback! I'll be sure to don my kevlar helmet just in case.......! I'll say one thing, though I don't share all of your opinions, I'll forever be willing to stand up for a society that allows you to voice them. That's what I was getting at a few posts back. I'm not daft enough to believe that zapping UBL will bring about a more peaceable Britain (probably the obverse), we Forces guys just do the best we can with what we have.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrZingy Changing the subject, could you suggest a suitable chemical to put on molehills in order to persuade them to bugger off? The littl sods are all over, or rather, UNDER my back garden!!!

  • @kneeslider47 ...well I am neither a chemist nor a vet. More atuned at designing the delivery system than chemical content. I would hazard a guess that the MoD may have a few evil nerve agents in their system that they may be willing to spare. If that fails you could always televised an Arsenal game in front of the little critters - boredom can be highly lethal - lol!

  • @MrZingy I was considering the latest installment of Big Brother but reckoned it'd be far too cruel...........!

  • @MrZingy Also, the word "victory" cannot ever be applied to Afghanistan. EVER! We'll as ever attempt to "Un-fuck" a situation already fucked beyond belief by politicians, but a decisive victory is hard to acieve in an insurgency. Shame too, if you'd seen how the Taliban do buiness you'd not be too quick to take their corner. They don't let even their own people be human. I'm not being racist, they are just absolute fucking bastards, no more.

  • @MrZingy

Another thing Zingy, you appear educated - good man. Well done. However, education is only validated when that education is acted upon. Its all very well being loaded down with qualifications, yet its what one DOES with them that counts. I'm not putting you down - really, but I've served my country as best I can with what I have and many of these Rhodesian guys have done just the same. Only a soldier can truly understand what combat is like & why its sadly necessary sometimes.

  • @kneeslider47 ....I appear educated? Rather patronising arent we now? Yes, combat is necessary sometimes, but it wasnt for the Rhodesians. They fought and lost an unjust war. Sad but true. Smithy spun a web of lies to these young kids and sent them off into a bush war whose outcome was inevitable. The futility of those deaths can only boggle the mind. Perhaps it is presumptious of me to expect everyone to apply rational thought to Smith's insane proposition.

  • Comment removed

  • yes we are vulgar, mr zingy what the fuck is it to you my son, you probably never faced combat or anything like it so why dont you just fuck right off you little wanker.

  • @SuperAryian .....obviously an attack of " behind the keyboard bravado" ! I bet you mother would be proud of your colourful vocabulary too!lol! A little man with with a little brain!

  • Fuck you

  • what a pitty they didnt wipe those communist terrorists off the face of the earth

  • Zim is a train wreck, thanks to Bloody Bob Mugabe and his murderous government. Post colonial Zimbabwe is a disaster, specifically because of the actions of Robert Mugabe, his cronies, and his pathetic government, and for no other reason. Citizens of Zimbabwe, once living in the breadbasket of southern Africa, are now near starvation. They were better off under Smith, and they will tell you so.

  • "fucken beatufil..fuckers ran into the frags" .."like ants"

  • Just found out Green Leader has some tumors under his sternum. He need funds to pay for the operation. if you wish to help go to the RLI site and please give a hand.

  • @florencedave ...Greenleader aka Chris Dixon died of cancer a while back.

  • Ex-Rhodie here....mushi green leader....

  • Free Rhodesia!

  • Bloody marvellous, god bless Rhodesia - I wonder how many of those murdering bastards they killed?

  • @WinchesterRanger lots of women and children...if you ever wondered why the world turned its back on Rhodesia it was because of acts like this. Oh I forgot....only "commie terrs" were killed according to Ian "Idi Amin" Smith.

  • @MrZingy You of course prefer terrorist propaganda to facts. Only an idiot would believe that the men parading at the training camp that day were women and children. However, the women and children murdered and raped by your friends at the Elim Mission and following the shoot down of Air Rhodesia flight 825 were very real. As for Ian Smith, he was one of the greatest leaders Africa will ever know, if he had been left in power, today's Rhodesia would be prosperous and under black majority rule

  • @WinchesterRanger well that's exactly the problem....every one of you believed that Ian "Never in a Thousand years" Smith was this wonderful all righteous leader. You blindly ran into the bush and threw yourself in front of bullets for him. He on the other hand was busy selling you down the river and cutting a "you can have power as long as you dont touch me" deal with Uncle Bob. Guess the jokes on you!

  • @MrZingy If you think that any of this is a "joke" then you must think that thousands of dead and millions living in poverty is somehow amusing. If there is a joke, it is on the idiots who think that the Mugabe's Zimbabwe is somehow preferable to Smith's Rhodesia. Who could be so delusional as to think that? Try looking in a mirror.

  • @WinchesterRanger the disaster that is Mugabe is merely a product of the disaster that was Smith and the Rhodesian Front. Smith failed lamentably to interpret the worldwide shift in politics of the 60's. He took his nation down an illogical and disastrous route and tried to justify it by labeling the people of Zimbabwe as "commie terrs". They were merely people seeking the right to self determination through universal suffrage. You, like Smith, are governed by emotion and not logic!

  • @MrZingy Agreed on part, but you are an unrealist who never lived or went through it. Have you ever visited Zim? You are only commenting on things you have read.

  • @iltidsn ...a rather cavalier statement from someone who knows nothing about me. I have experienced Smithy's tyranny first hand. I know Zimbabwe inside out...I lived there!

  • @MrZingy Try living under mr mugs. Original statement still stands. Pity Mr Smith didn'y finish the job when had the chance with both you TIM.

  • @iltidsn ...Your Mr. Smith was a joke....he couldnt finish a cup of tea!lol!

  • @MrZingy Look at those fuckers running...now you can run a country. Where are you?

  • @iltidsn ....such acts only served to mortgage the future of Rhodesia. They allowed Mugabe to point the finger at the brutal oppressor and say to his people "that is the alternative to me!". With this as the back drop, the Rhodesians opened the door to RGM running the country by decree. These raids were, politically, an unmitigated disaster and the "white" community are still paying the price for the inept leadership and lack of vision of one IDS.

  • @MrZingy go away. you have nothing positive to add. make a diffrerrence, pay it forward ass hole

  • @iltidsn .....I may go away, but the truth will linger on to haunt you. The world has made its pronouncement on Rhodesia and Ian Smith. You may need to come to terms with this at some point. Tell me are all Rhodesians as vulgar as you? I dont agree with their politics, but I thought they had common courtesies!

  • @MrZingy well said..

  • @MrZingy Yeah, NOT finding and killing the terrorists who were rampaging across the Mozambique border at will would have been a much better idea. Maybe if you were there you could have saved Rhodesia, since you`re so damn smart. So how does a landlocked and economically isolated country defeat a Soviet funded insurgency coming across three of its borders? Grace us with your stragegic brilliance.

  • @Dukhasinov ...Rhodesia was an illegitimate rogue state. It was not recognised internationally. Depriving sectors of the population the right to change the Government through the ballot box legitimised the armed struggle for independence. Logic dictates that such a regime was unsustainable was doomed to failure. IDS was not intelligent enough to see this and continued to delude the people he led.

  • @MrZingy

Profound statement on your part - you just keep on sipping that KoolAid, believeing all the crap you post.

  • @Bonzforall ...sipping "KoolAid"?...good heavens man! Pimms and lemonade perhaps!lol!

Given your age I will put your erratic outburst to a touch of senile dementia.

  • @WinchesterRanger Not enough sadly!

  • "Stupid hippie"? ...is that it?...not exactly earth shattering profanity now is it ol' boy. RH825 was a legitimate target...loaded with troupies and ammo. As you say Its WAR....and the propaganda machines will work! Point being is that you believed Smithies BS...he took you hook, line and sinker. You took the bullets.....he took the cash settlement and an immunity deal from Mugabe. Politics IS a dirty game!!!

  • good job, fucking kaffirs got what they deserved.

  • @preludefan ...and then they are people that believe the women and children on flight RH825 "got what they deserved". Extremists like you have no place in today's world.

  • @MrZingy extremists? what about the women and children killed by the commie terrorists? -its WAR, people die in wars you stupid hippie, rhodesias only mistake was not taking the rest of the bastards out.

rh 825 was a terrorist attack, not a military tactic on the battlefield, call me extreme all you like, but all i have stated is fact.

  • fkn beautiful! they're running right into the frags!

  • Alright I support Rhodesia's cause, but what's with the X-Plane graphics or is it just me that this doesn't look authentic? I was never into aerial photography so someone correct me if I'm wrong...

  • @mountaingrubs ....yeah..its just a visual. Rhodies didnt have visual recording capacity on their aircraft.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheIrishGuardsman ....is that it????!!!!! Well you really have me quaking in my boots with all those playground threats. Why dont you focus on the issues if you have anything of value to project? Ore perhaps you realise you are out of your depth?

  • @MrZingy Sir, did I offer violence either to your person or property? No I did not! Therefore the only so-called threats exist in your overactive imagination LOL!!!! Maybe I was a bit heavy- handed, but you strike me as an elitist who thinks having some university behind you gives you the right to look down upon others and their opinions, which are EVERY BIT as valid as yours. GOD BLESS IAN SMITH AND THE GREEN AND WHITE!!!!

  • @TheIrishGuardsman ..your opinion of me is actually irrelevant...and I am not seeking to win a popularity contest here. You have the right to express your desires over Smithy and Rhodesia - as the freedom of expression and association remain ideals that should be respected. However, I, and the world at large, believe Smithy was a brutal dictator (ala Idi Amin) who was lucky to survive the noose. I see myself as more pragmatic than elitist and certainly will not apologize for being educated!

  • what a great day best thing on youtube god bless those guys legends never forget what we the west did to rhodesia and how well its woked out for eveyone

  • Comment removed

  • Just hold everything mate

  • Great footage, props to the RAF for accomplishing what they did with so little!

  • The Rhodesians had quite a few De Havilland Vampires as well

  • Comment removed

  • rhodesians...great soldiers and great, beutiful people. Ian Smith great man.

  • @forumlivii60 ....Ian Smith great???!!! Great at leading a whole nation down a dead end street. A war criminal that should have been brought to book!

  • GOD BLESS RHODESIA

    GOD BLESS IAN SMITH

  • you fucking sons of bloody bitches do you think it was good what you did to us as zimbabweans inzambia you and your balls gonna rot in hell we are not yet finished with you yet .Bloody devils shit

  • @grandmarshall12 shut up you fool!!!!!!!! you deserve everything you got and more you bloody moron

  • People talk about Chris death (miserable cancer). Everybody will die one day! Some due cancer some at age of 8 by an AK-47 bullet. Make up your mind Zingy, uh?! Much better now?

  • @Cavelson ......commit acts like this and it will haunt you and your future generations. Ever thought that the chaos that is Zimbabwe is a reaction to all this carnage? The Rhodies chose segregation over integration....not a sustainable ideology particularly where one is a minority. Mugabe is no Mandela.....he, unfortunately, believes in pay back!

  • @MrZingy I'm not a segregator but I'm not able to sustain slaughters like Mugabe or another dictator. Hate when people use words like khafir. Hate the way things are going! Cheers!

  • @MrZingy Part of his 'Payback' was the torture, murder and mutilation of tens of thousands of Matabele.....

  • @RhodesianBok ....well actually...it justified as retailation for the downing of flight RH825 in Kariba...if you would like the real facts.

  • Mind your place and keep serving us our dinner boy!

  • @TheIrishGuardsman two thumbs up

  • Green Leader aka Chris Dixon died a slow and miserable death of cancer. Just deserve for a murderer of children!

  • @MrZingy thats what I hope for that murdering bastard mugabe and his bush babies that he is not the father of. He and his prostitut wife can burn in hell. But dont worry he will not be alone, his closest baboon brothers will be with him. Just hope they dont try and claim its theirs from Lenin and Stalin and Hitler.

  • @westcoastfisherman .....you may hate Mugabe, and, like many, you may have good cause to. But your hate will only beget more hate. The challenges is not to hate, because any idiot can do that, the challenge is to build towards a mote equitable future by addressing the underlying causes.

  • @MrZingy But somebody has to do something!

  • @Cavelson ...true! but the "Rhodies" want to use the same failed tactics of hate and division (that failed them so badly) to solve the problem of Mugabe. People can swear and posture as much as they want on this site, but its neither intelligent nor progressive.

  • @MrZingy wake up you fool

  • @rianiansmith ....why? is the rugby on????

  • @MrZingy I really think that you are living in a hopful world. Yes violence begets violence, but at the end of the day did Smith not have the happiest population in the world, be they black or white? What has that thieving murderer mugabe done? He reduced a country to poverty and in all honesty...... shame. In 1979, 1980 the Dollar in our beautiful country was the strongest in Africa, and now we are the joke. Monopoly money is worth more than what that idiot has done to our currency.

  • @westcoastfisherman .... happy people do not shoot down planes and lay landmines. There was nothing happy about fuel rationing and having to travel in armed convoys. Rhodesia was miserable. Mugabe's failure does not condone the racist, fascist state that Rhodesia was.

  • @MrZingy Hot bubbling horse droppings..

  • @MrZingy you are a horrible person and remember what comes around goes around you worthless twot

  • @rianiansmith ......wow!! If you are going to use profanities I would hope you could do a lot better than that. In any case....it just sounds like "sour grapes" from your side mate.

  • @MrZingy You use words like 'Mate'..are you another patriotic Zimbo on the dole in England...?

  • @RhodesianBok ....well let's see. If I were Zimbabwean, which I'm not, I would not be entitled to the "dole". One can clearly see that you are not the sharpest pencil in the box. Try to get an education.....does wonders..trust me!!!

  • @MrZingy I have a fantastic education..from where do you hail? Your pencil is blunt..need a sharpener?

  • @RhodesianBok .......it is abundantly clear that you have NOT had the privilege of a classic education. You idolise a tyrant, but the world has already judged Old Smithy and found him wanting. Fairly surprising that he wasn't dragged to the Hague along with all the other warlords and despots. His death could never have come too soon!

  • @MrZingy I idolise a man who I knew for forty years...who treated EVERYONE with respect. A man, who countless BLACK Rhodesians and Zimbabweans acknowledge as a good man. You belong to a group that makes money out of misguided lefty Europeans and North Americans who know no better than to perpetuate lies and self-serving propaganda. I do have a CLASSIC education and you do not.

  • @RhodesianBok .....a good man!!!!??? Ian Smith was a disgrace to humanity. He represented everything dark and evil. A man devoid of a conscience....he sent young white Rhodesians to fight and die in his name, whilst he was bargaining directly with Mugabe for his own personal security. He was another Hitler...but at least Hitler shot himself.

He was no more popular than the election results of 1980.

  • @MrZingy

No he did not, Zingy. You ought to be a writer......in fiction. lol!!!

And actually if you can believe HIS OWN words, Mugabe is ''the Hitler of the times''.

  • @MrZingy Ian Douglas Smith was a gift to humanity. You are unfit to shine his shoes. He represented good. His conscience was crystal clear and he was a man of honour. I knew him, you didn't. You are a mis-guided lefty.

  • @RhodesianBok .... a gift from who????!!!!!.....the devil????!!!! You are right I didnt know him....I didnt know Idi Amin, Mabuto, Hitler, Mussolini, Bokassa either........so what's your point.

  • @RhodesianBok

Well RhodesianBok, I have Bitter Harvest sitting on my bookshelf. A very good and interesting read with many object lessons. He was certainly the best leader in Africa at the time.

  • @suryavajra ...you are everywhere....kinda like a bad rash!!!lol!!! I love the sarcasm though!

  • @MrZingy

HAHA!!! Me too, sarcasm and irony. Gotta love the two....

  • @MrZingy Mr Zingy. Ian Douglas Smith was not 'dragged' to the Hague - we agree. And why was he not 'dragged' to the Hague? Because he had done nothing wrong. Using your own logic, if he was a 'warlord' or 'despot' he would have been 'dragged' to the Hague. But he wasn't. I grew up with black people who revered him, and I simply do not care what you or anybody says-you don't know, I do. Your agenda is based on lies and sponging off gullible Westerners who've been taught to feel guilty....

  • @RhodesianBok ...Idi Amin wasn't dragged to the Hague either......and , like Smith, he certainly was no saint!!!!! Both are dead....and that's a good thing!

  • @MrZingy

    '

Zingy Zingy Zingy.....I see this is the second page you're at....lol!

  • @suryavajra ...as usual you have nothing of value to add!!

  • This post has been going for four and a half years; I wonder if that hero, Green Leader himself, has been on here....he is a legend...thank God for people like him who had such talent.
