  • Lampley is a douchebag

  • WTF 116-112? What fight were they watching?

  • Roy Jones Jr is top 5 all time and my favorite fighter to watch but Its funny how the public just clown on Ruiz all the time when He can knock out 99% of the public... no respect

  • @MrJessetaylor1 roy is the vest middleweight of all time

  • Comment removed

  • top 5 vest middleweight brah

  • @tunecci nah man he is the best he went to heavyweight and beat him

  • Roy should've retired after this.

  • "Only Ali can shock the world like I did" lol

  • Don't you love the sportsmanship of team Ruiz how they stormed out of the ring after the decision was announced.

  • I think that interview after fight was more taffer for Roy than the fight))

  • just repeat 2. 16 many times funnnnnnyyyyyy^^

  • 2:14 roy makes a funny sound xD

  • Roy could of taken Tyson and Holyfield at this point but would it of been regarded as a wise move? probably not, everyone knows Joe Calazaghe, A.Tarver, Danny Green, beat a faded and old Roy. The same would be said if Roy had decimated Tyson and Holyfield like he wanted too back in the day. So in the longterm it probably did his legacy a favour not fighting those guys. I mean just watch the Tyson vs McBride fight it's some sad shit like watching RJJ vs Green. It's just tragic stuff in hindsight.

  • @Cuss100 tyson? i dont think so

  • @silvastian

Tyson at this point? hell yeah, guy was gassed after three rounds and then later quit on his stool against journeyman Kevin Mcbride. Tyson was way past his prime at this point just fighting to pay the bills.

At the end of the day it's just speculation cause it never happened, neither of us are wrong in our opinions.

  • @Cuss100 ohhh bro i thought you were referring to prime tyson.. nevermind i agree with you

  • @silvastian

lol bro prime Tyson would of destroyed RJJ!

  • After Jones got DQ´d he never took any chances.

  • Lennox Lewis Ducked roy jones.

  • Actually, I think Roy Jones had nothing left to prove anymore after winning the heavyweight title. He should have retired with all his glory by then...

  • Allen Iverson doesnt get punched in the face when he dunks...LOL

    Love these HBO Commentators!

  • HAHAHAHAHA george makes me laugh

    lennox lewis HAHAHAHA

  • Foreman says some stupid things at times. Lenox would have KO'd Jones early.

  • Mayweather headed to jail by Thanksgiving!

  • lmao roy jones like hey quit pushing me man

  • make no excuses for him he was only 195lbs for this fight he went back down to fight tarver and simply was hit before his punch could connect. plain and simple, now the other knock out, he was lazy kept his hands down low and got caught. his chin had never been tested until he fought hop, tarver and the road warrior.

  • "I didn't run, I boxed. That is what I do for a living." Haha great line. I love Foreman defending Ruiz and his belt too. Can't call a guy a paper champ just because there are four belts.

  • ruiz is underrated.

  • @jimpurdie ruiz sucks balls david tua knocked him the fuck out!

  • @crazedmartinez ruiz kicked Holyfields ass twice lol Tua lost to Byrd

  • Ruiz was a bum. not to take anything away from Roy, but he was.

  • @rexboogie must suck being a hater

  • @KIMBOSLICE66666 What I don't have a right to have my own opinion. It must suck being a communist.

  • @rexboogie must suck being a libtard

  • @KIMBOSLICE66666 Ya moms sucks for money.

  • Comment removed

  • WOW. these HBO commentators hate jones lol what sad people.

  • Weird to read all the Jones worshipers on here. Exaggerations and excuses. Hey, great job, Roy, in accomplishing what you did. But c'mon, everyone. Could there have been a less impressive HW champ to take the belt from? Hardly. What's more amazing to me than Jones becoming HW champion is that John Ruiz could ever have been champion in the first place! (Not trying to be mean . . . he might be a great guy.)

  • @pnutbutrncrackers Hater u want a boxing lesson just ask me.

  • @tull06

    C'mon, man. Grow up.

  • @pnutbutrncrackers wow what a hater you are

  • @KIMBOSLICE66666 ?? Who do I supposedly hate?

  • this is the fight the killed roy jones. after losing that weight in muscle he never fought the same. and began to lose.

  • George Foreman is a great fighter but he doesnt know what the fuck he is talking about

  • John who???

  • i hate larry. roy is for sure the best ever. he never really lost a fight till he was past his prime at age of 38 0r 39

  • he is not the best ever ! But he needs to be in the top 20 best

  • baddest motherfucker ever!

  • I wish Jones had retired after this, it would have been the perfect way to end a storybook career. He didn't have one clean defeat on his record at the time, only one pathetic DQ loss. I'm sure people would have talked about him as an all time great, but y fighting on, he ruined his legacy. People will remember him now for being beaten by guys like Joe Calzaghe & Danny Green, instead of being the world class fighter he undoubtedly was

  • @123mikemitch Only shallow fans will remember RJJ has anything but an all time great. He went from middleweight world champion to heavyweight world champion. In his prime, he was the superman of boxing. After this tilt at the heavyweight title he was never really the same - watch the 1st Tarver fight and the Hopkins fight and the difference in combinations, footwork, and handspeed is massive. He got old. So what. His losses as an old fighter do not tarnish his accomplishments prior to that.

  • Roy u r living legend and even now in 40 u still got amazing hand speed

  • Jones should of stayed at heavyweight for a lil he was never the same when he went back down

  • In my humble opinion that Ruiz guy did not really have any special talents although he is good....................I don't think Jones could handle Lennox Lewis a natural heavy weight

  • Boxers are so funny 06:19----06:35 they are real good salesmen

  • great fight

  • if jones were to fight ali at heavyweight ali would win becuase jones is not a natrual heavyweight

where as if they were to fight at light heavy jones jr would win

    simple......

  • @hamzazim ali was a light heavyweight when he won the olympics in 1960 and i can tell you he was blindingly fast, way faster than he was at heavyweight,i think ali wouldve destroyed jones at light heavy coz of his reach, speed and movement, plus theres no way jones couldve hurt ali coz ali had in my opinion the greatest chin boxing has ever seen

  • @WillieEgan jones in his prime had faster hand speed than ali but imo jones primes was middlewight. his power and speed at the weight were amazing.

  • Man that Trainer for Ruiz is pissed off...

  • Cocky little know all

  • hey quit pushing me man.

    what???

    yeaaaa.

  • roys is just 2 sick

  • haha props to George foreman

  • Ruiz is a cunt and a sore loser

  • A fight with Lennox Lewis would have been suicide.

  • He should have stayed at heavyweight, dropping that 25 lbs hurt him for the rest of his career.

  • @vince2370 yeah it sure did he never recovered from that

  • roy jones is the greatest boxer of all time. he would of destroyed any fighter in the history of boxing including ali . someone should burn that fat pig larry merchant, hating ass muthafucker.

  • @ecm1985, Roy Jones would have beaten Ali? Are you being serious? Don't make me laugh, mate! Jones was a great Super-Middleweight and an even better Light-Heavyweight, but he wasn't a natural Heavyweight. He won the WBA belt and never made a defence because it was a chance to take advantage of a poor division and an average champion in Ruiz. The 6'3, 210 lb Ali would toy with Jones, simply because it's not Jones' weight. Also, Ali had even better speed and reflexes than Jones in his prime.

  • @iljn1988 i dont know about that ali was faster but jones in his natural weight class i think was faster

  • @iljn1988 but ali had the better footwork so i think that ali would win

  • @joshuaFB, Ali had the better hand speed/reflexes as well. Because Ali's most famous fights all happened in the 70's (Foreman, Frazier x 3) people watch them and think that he was at his physical peak in those fights; he wasn't. His best years were 64-67. No Heavyweight in history would have been able to beat that version of Ali. Take a look at his fights against Liston, Williams and Folley and you'll see his handspeed was incredible, even better than Jones' (who is an all-time great of course).

  • mayb if norman stone shut his mout 4 1nce ruiz might of won a round but never the fight stoney is funny but he is over the top u need to train ur fighter proply not shout and exspect him to turn into a beter fighter

  • foreman mentions patterson ellis constroversy

  • So what happened after this fight did Jones box anyone else in this division?

  • @pgotw No

  • the last time the wba belt would be on a actually deserving champion until david haye took it from that ogre valuev a couple months ago

  • still to this day, I hate seeing that BS loss on his fab record. Fuck Montel Griffen, wha wha, cant be stopped!

  • don't downgrade the guy! go up! go up!

George Foreman is not intimidated by Lennox Lewis in the least! lol

  • Roy - best LHW of all time! But Lennox would have might murdered him. IDK, I really think Roy shouldn't have moved back to LHW! OK, fight Lennox Lewis get KOed, but don't go back loosing muscles and exposing yourself to the likes of Calzaghe, Tarver and etc. don't !

  • complete legend, forget the fights after this !! this guy s the greatest boxer ever !!! end of story THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @darrenholmes1000 Until he"encountered"a certain"Green Machine"that could hit BACK!! Roy Jones is just a"bunk"backwards"slow"Flordia country-lame!!

  • @darrenholmes1000 he never predicted a knockout like muhammad ali did. get off that crack and meth you're smoking kid. LOS THE CHRIST 29010.

  • @darrenholmes1000 This was the"saddest"moment in the history of boxing when this lil' "country-bumpkin" blowhard was awarded the HW tile, then sounds like a REAL"rube yelling out little "hick-towns"like Mobile Alabama and Pensacola Florida! I'd be ASHAMED to be from these"simple-life"towns!!

  • Comment removed

  • @darrenholmes1000

Greatest boxer ever?!? Have you even watched any fights that didn't have Roy Jones in them? There are other boxers that Jones is not in the same league with. Ali, Frazier, Tyson, Mayweather, Holmes, Hopkins, Paquiao just to name a few. Jones Is NOT THE BEST and he is NOT the greatest boxer ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! End of story. For you to make such an ignorant claim is ridiculous.

  • Comment removed

  • wow he fought a heavyweight fight look at his face 3:41

  • man quit pushin me

  • roy shouldve beaten chris byrd for legacy, he could've retired unified champ, shouldve gone down and beat jean marc mormek instead of fighting tarver then retire as top10 atg

  • I agree this was the last time roy jones was great, age and weight loss hurt him against Tarver 8 months later even though he won, I really wished he would have retired after the 1st Tarver fight He was almost 35 years old.

  • he should of quit after this fight. if he did he whould been next to ali 4 sure

  • i agree with u my friend. if roy had retired after this fight he'd b remembered as possibly the very best

  • LOL the angriest I have seen Roy at 5:24

  • I wish Rj tooled around with the big boys a little more

  • lmao @ the Coming to America quotes... snip...thatll be 8 dollars

  • To all the Jones Jr. haters he beat the champion whether the champion was a bum or not he took the belt. Hi haters keep hating

  • fukk lewis and marcinano this is jones jr vs ruiz video. shit RJJ the best ever muda fuckas

  • Lewis or Marciano would have crushed little Roy.

  • Lewis kills Roy because he's way too big and powerful but Roy has a much better chance against Marciano because he had the height and reach advantage and he was also way too fast for him. Marciano was very powerful but I don't see him landing because he didn't have fast feet. I think Roy would've played it safe and used his feet and speed to frustrate him and win on points as long as he doesn't get hit by big shots.

  • no he isnt rjj

    no chin fast good punch

calzage fast strong good good chin

  • @adams63

Calzaghe wass fast but not even close to prime Jones.

He has no punch, look at his record...

Average chin (been down about 5 times, at least 2 of them against no names).

Fought bums or past prime legends - don't get me wrong. I mean Calzaghe's very good, but nothing more.

  • Roy had a chin til he lost 25 pounds in muscle and lost his punch resistence some speed and power! He matches Calzaghes hand speed in their fight.. In the 90's early 2000's RJ would have made calzaghe look slow!

  • amen

  • @Jbizzle390 Joe Calzaghe was undefeated. If he would have faced Jones at any age the result would have been the same.

  • @trainlinezoo lol keep dreaming

  • @KIMBOSLICE66666 Keep dreaming what? Joe C has zero losses. RJJ has been dominated by Tarver, Johnson, Hopkins, Green and Joe . himself. Don't be fooled by all the flashy charms RJJ once had. Julio Cesar Gonzalez and John Ruiz were the most significant fighters RJJ beat - Big deal. In their prime Joe would have waxed Roy the same exact way.

  • @trainlinezoo all of those losses were past jones prime.

  • @evol121 I didn't use the word 'loss'. I used Dominated. What would Jones' legacy be if he had not rematched Tarver after beating him back to November '03? I sometimes daydream about Jones '03 (49-1) skipping Tarver and Johnson and instead fighting Joe Calzaghe (35-0). Joe would have had to gain weight and fight in the US but that would had been worth every PPV cent. Some say Jones would have won a clash with Joe in 2003. I say Joe C. KO in 7.

  • @trainlinezoo all of those losses were past jones prime... err he also beat hopkins, tony, hill, and reggie. get a clie 1st , nab.

  • @evol121 tarver

  • @727Superstar like i said, jones was past it. watch jones vs tarver 1 (which jones won). listen to what they are saying. he looks spent. he was NEVER the same after coming down from hw and was lets 35+ plus at that ponit, not really a good age for a speed fighter.

  • @trainlinezoo take it you dont know jones beat prime james toney when hes was p4p 1 in the world better then anything joe calzaghe has done by a mile .....

  • @JoeRUGBY10 Toney would have beat Joe? Cmon man - punch stats would have been sick - but yes Joe beats James Toney. Joe beats Tarver, Johnson, and Danny Green. We saw what he did to Bernard so Joe not only beats roy in his prime but he also beats everyone who actually beat Jones.

  • @trainlinezoo dont think you quite appreciate prime james toney.... his resume >>>>> calzaghe ! joe doesnt beat them because he wouldnt fight them. he got a MD over hopkins many thought hopkins won. Dont think joe would have gone to cruiser to fight green took him 12 years to go to light heavy..... jones toney hopkins >>>>>>>>calzaghe who are joe's best wins old eubank jones hopkins, shit lacy and kessler ? LOL

  • @JoeRUGBY10 Think what you like - we all do.

  • @trainlinezoo Come on man joes win over jones doesnt mean a thing.. Its like alis loss to holmes a fighter passed his prime against a younger hungrier fighter! Roy had everything, people today need to remember everything positive not just the negatives after losing 25lbs of muscle and his fall from grace! Roy beats any fighter of the last 20 yrs period x

  • @Jbizzle390 damn right brother

  • @ roy was considerably faster then joe in there fight

  • @JoeRUGBY10 Whats the value of hand speed if the other guy is smiling while you're punching him? Joe did what he wanted with Jones starting with the moment Joe was knocked down. Roy didn't win one minute of that fight after he watched Joe get up and smile. Roy was great against the guys he beat - we probably haven't seen the last of him in the ring for boxing has a crummy pension plan. i wish Joe would make a nice 6 million dollar come back and fight Andre Ward.

  • 007, I'm pretty damn sure he was 137 years old when he fought...

  • No, Louis was 37 years old when he fought Marciano.

  • LMAO. OH Eddie you jokster

  • Roy Jones is not a shot fighter! He as only lost to a couple guys and I still believe he can win another title.

  • jones used roids

  • one off the all time greats so hes not as good now as he was ha ha so fucken what look at what he did

  • Jones is clearly an all time great. Even allowing for late career stutters.

  • I really hate how people throw around marciano like he was amazing, Marciano was the only champion to retire and not come back hince his undefeated record and he never fought a first tier heavyweight he didnt even clean out his division by fighting all the greats in the division hince why hes not the greatest of all time

  • wat ur crazy u need to stop smokind dope when rocky marciano was fighting that was one of the best heavyweight classes of all time and he beat them all.....hands down he's the best heavyweight of all time hince the 0 losses on his record that means he was the best in his division and of his time

  • Actually im not smokin dope i just know what im talki about, go to google and type in why Rocky Marciano isnt the greatest of all time he was very tough and had loads of heart but never face a man who could give him the worst day.

  • "Every time we talk about boxing, some white guy has to pull Rocky Marciano out they ass! Rocky Marciano ain't shit!"

  • Yes, I am white, got a problem with that?

And yes, I like Marciano, but I believe Ali would beat him, but it would not be an easy fight... Ali on cuts.

Marciano is, by any standard, a great champ.

If you dont see that, you are incorrect.

  • "Rocky Marciano was good. But compared to Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano ain't shit!"

"And Joe Louis was 76 years old when they fought."

  • No, Joe Louis was 37 years old when he fought Marciano. If Louis was in his prime, say, the version that beat Max Schmeling, I believe Joe Louis would have won via TKO in about 7 rounds.

And compared to Joe Louis, Marciano is still very good, just not as great as the Brown Bomber.

  • "Joe Louis had come out of retirement to fight Rocky Marciano. The man was 76 years old! Joe Louis always lied about his age. He lied about his age all the time. One time Frank Sinatra came out here and sat in my chair, and I said 'Frank, you hang out with Joe Louis. Just between me and you, how old is Joe Louis? You know what Frank told me? He said 'Hey. Joe Louis 137 years old. 137 years old!"

  • Louis fought Marciano in 1951. He was born in 1914.

  • "Fck you! Fck you! Fck you! And fck you!

    Who's next?"

  • Wrong.

  • I got the joke. Eddie Murphy, Coming to America, barber shop scene. No one caught it, I did cuz that's one of my favorite movies.

  • HAHA!

    I love eddy murphy

  • where did you see Eddy Murphy in this episode dude?

  • scroll down and read EGarrett01 quoted comments, they are from an eddie murphy clip

  • If Jones had fought someone like Rocky Marciano, he would have get KO´d in about 3 rounds

  • true ur prob the only person on this thing that knows something about boxing... RJ is great and is the greatest of his era but he stood no chance against marciano hands down

  • Thanks.^^

  • LOL I think roy is great but hands down Lennox would devour him in a fight 6'5 with a 84 inch reach come on really.

  • idk, roy is faster than lennox and he hits just as hard he's just like tommy hearns his speed and power could stop anybody

  • love watchin r j j, fight, interview, id have payed to watch him train

  • u can watch him in a documentary leading up to this fight its called roy jones -the sweet science

  • nice one, ill be looking out for it.

  • RJJ fighting Lennox Lewis

    LOL!!!!!

  • Roy Jones Jr = G.O.A.T

  • spot on mate

  • the best P4P !!!

  • Not a great fight but because I love RJJ I enjoyed watching it. I hate it how the commentaters dont give Roy the credit he deserves. The fight kind of sums up his career. He makes people look like bums and doesnt get the credit because he made them look like they are bad fighters when they arent and I dont know what one of the judges was thinking 116-112 what fight were they watching? RJJ is a legend, Maybe he should have stayed at Heavyweight. Thanks for the video.

  • Amen. Luke 1:37 With God nothing shall be impossible

  • If he'd retired after this fight he might have been considered the greatest of all time, he is still a legend though

  • lol@george foreman

  • yall needa get off my man Jon Ruiz.. he's a legend in the sport of boxing and is one of the best fighters ever

  • well said, in his prime jones was the most complete fighter I have ever seen, I think he would have beat holyfield

  • Was George serieus? Fighting Lennox Lewis? That would not have been a good idea.

  • I think Jones could have maybe beat Lennox. If he got bigger and stronger and maintained his speed you never know. People thought John Ruiz was to big and look what happened.

  • i think roy is great but so is lennox and ruiz is not.

  • Big George is great...a pundit who shows respect to all fighters. His counterpart suggests RJ would only fight when there is No Risk. Every fighter knows the ring is a lonely place when the bell rings. Huge risks every time. Let this ex-fighter tell you

  • and that why you are a ex fighter somebody I have never herd off....don't hate

  • Great fight i wached it..man roy jones was soo ill...and even against a heavyweight he fights hands down and makes some funny moves...Legend. LOL I love how geoerge foreman speaks about "the oldest heavyweightchampion" u know who it is ;)

  • The GOD of boxing!!!

  • Ali and Jones are my tied for 1st on my list

  • 5:20 "hey quit pushin me man...what?" ROFLMAO

  • lol "hey quit pushin me man...what?" lol thats great
