My WE 416 has this problem. I just got the magic pin and it fixed it.

Strange, I don't have any kind of wobble between the lower/upper of my KJW M4... I don't know why I would need this pin at the moment unless it's a problem that develops over time (my M4 is only one month old)

Can you still open the upper with only the back pin removed? Will it still be able to swivel?

Unless the design is really wierd, it shouldn't. all its doing is pinching the body, not getting in the way of anything.
