  • 80 people need to expand their music taste...for shit's sake.

  • Doesn't matter if it's not a real Bollywood film, I still consider it an Indian film and it's a great film that shows life and cultures in that country. I loved the film. I've seen Bollywood films before and this is a great film that anyone can relate to in any country.

  • Kollywood viewers outside India- Japan, Malayasia, Singapore, UK, Germany, US, South Africa, Canada, Srilanka. Japan has started teaching Tamil in their University influenced by popularity of Tamil movies in Japan.

  • India is not just Bollywood (Hindi). India has Kollywood(Tamil) equally powerful like Bollywood with Talented musicians, technicians and Directors(music, directors,dancers,.. has influenced the growth of Bollywood in 90s and 2000s...) , then we have Tollywood (Telugu) produces largest number of movies in India (more than Bollywood),Mollywood (Malayalam), Sandalwood (Kannada), punjabi, Bengali... other secondary film production Industry.. Bollywood, Kollywood, Tollywood are 3 giants..

  • 2:01 Swatstika!!!!!

  • i dont what she is saying in this song but something tells me my mom wouldnt allow me to listen to it, luckily she dosent understand hindi either

  • its a british movie

  • As a diaspora member, songs like Jiya Jale, etc. seem so innocuous. That is, until you learn hindi and actually listen to them. First two intelligible lines read "it touched me." o.0

  • personally i don't think this movie is a shame to other Indian movies. this movie gained success on capturing attention from people in western countries to become interested and start to know about Indian culture and society. i started watching Bollywood movies after watching this one, so i can assure the positive effect that this movie has brought to us.

  • @ethusiasm This is not a Bollywood movie.

  • @chaosfilms9295 i know it isn't. but it gave me the passion and interest to observe India and watch Bollywood movies, that's what i was saying.

  • Hola necesito espectadores para mis videos. Si son tan amables, comenten, puntuen y mirenlo. Gracias. Atentamente: HabboPelisFlims

  • SLUMDOG ISN'T a BOLLYWOOD FILM! so STOP comparing it with other bollywood films.....its like saying shanghai knight is a chinese movie =.= WTH?? get real ppl

  • @sujahn3 I thought you were on the cusp of making a good point when all of the sudden it was overshadowed by tears and cry cry time. Jesus Christ you elitist prick, isn't it good enough that people are getting interested outside of India. We all know that you have the super inside scoop when it comes to what is or is not Bollywood sweet pea. Rest assured that we can all see what a "true fan" you are. Congrats.

  • @lasten im guessing you're a small boy.....go drink momma's milk

  • @sujahn3 It is HEAVILY influenced from Bollywood and Indian cinema. You can compare this to Salaam Bombay and The Apu Trilogy, just like you can compare Kurosawa's Yojimbo and Sanjuro to Sergio Leone's Dollars Trilogy.

Or comparing Bay's action films to John Woo's Chinese movies.

  • @sujahn3 No it isn't, as Shanghai Knights wasn't influenced as deeply by Chinese cinema as Slumdog Millionare was, so yeah, the comparison counts.

  • Sertab Erener - Rengarenk , hindulardan aşırtmış valla

  • @nerobianco13 Hahahahahahaha evet bende cok gulmustum, sadece sertab erener degilki. Mesela Mustafa ceceli- Limon ciceklerinin melodiside Arablardan calma :D hahaha ;)

  • i luff it

  • fuck ya bitches. highest rated comment on this song.

  • Alka Yagnik is sounding very strained. I guess thats just age.

  • I am looking for other songs like this! What is this genre called? Or some bands/groups/singers?

Mostly its the rhythm that fascinates me.

  • @dinosaurierohrwaschi - Im not sure what Genre it would be in...maybe Bollywood but its inspired by Rajasthani folk music (Rajasthan is one of the states in India). Some other songs would be: chaiyya chaiyya, Satrangi re, Choli Ke Peeche, Dholi Taro Dhol Baaje. Hope that helps.

  • @JTSB84 Thanks.

  • @dinosaurierohrwaschi

Chole Ke Peeche...its made by the same composer A.R. rahman and he basically used the beat from that song in this song...listen to it and you'll see the similarties..its a reallly good song and was extrememly popular in india when it came out :)

  • @OMGitsmee92 he didn't compose cholee ke piche

  • @dinosaurierohrwaschi may be this one is similar? - search for "Luck Chance Baware" in youtube

  • This song is about rape trust me i know i speak the language sooo now this song has a whole new meaning to me cuz at first i didnt understand what she was saying lol

  • @smartybella or it could be about regular sex hmmmm who knows

  • What does ringa mean?

  • @HoneybunchBunny i think it means crawl thats what someone told me

  • I really love this song, some months ago I bought the CD and in my personal opinion this song is the one that I like the most.

I play this song everyday morning at school with my 3rd graders(elementary school) students, they like this sonsg as well, they especially sing along with the song, but they get really excited singing the part of the song that says: tua-tua- tua-tua... they sing it in a funny way. greetings from Mexico

  • @cesaryusuf this is a nasty song

  • HELLL YA! HIGHEST RATED COMMENT.

  • i love this song

  • i sing this song all the time

ino i sound gay telling people that i sing 2 an indian song but it true :)

  • who sings this? it sounds similar to that song with madhuri... choli ke peeche?

  • this song is fucking hypnotic

  • This is inspired from the song " choli ke pichhe keya hai" from Khalnayak 1994.. And I think they gave credit on the CD cover for it.. Even the singer is the same, Alka Yagnik..

  • can someone translate the EXACT words... and I can work out the connotations myself. Thanks :)

  • @Vixylicous124 "Ringa" in Hindi/Urdu means "He crawled". If I were to literally translate the whole thing into English, it would sound too dirty... the fact that it's in Hindi downplays the sexual overturns... for some reason. :)

  • @RaniOfCoochNahi Yes, I understand that, but I think I can handle it :)

So eg: He crawled, he crawled, he crawled, ...etc.. ?? on the right track?

  • @Vixylicous124 Yup the chorus is basically "he crawled"x20. And it's really MYSELF that has trouble handling it but here goes: "Chooa, chooa"=touched, touched and then basically "I was lounging on the bed, having succumbed to a deep sleep--what else can I say, friend? A clever bed bug slowly crawled into my chunari (like a thin scarf) --Oh! That dope didn't think and didn't understand, but look how far he's gotten by simply crawling..." [chorus] "Why does he shy away? Oh, oh! What's he hiding?"

  • And then: "How scared I was, how I cried, I was a fine before--why did I fall asleep? That boy didn't let me have peace and even when I wanted to, he did not let me cry. That was his game--to set my body aflame with sparks...[chorus]. He would slowly tickle me and create, causing my heart to pound--I had melted away to nothing. Whenever I searched for him, he would quietly hide away, that's how the story went. Just think of it as me losing to the bedbug...[chorus]."

Whew. Well, there ya go. :)

  • Very good Turkish song.just like ringa ringa

    watch?v=1ZYwad-hZUk

  • @Legolass624 omg i love this song. cok guzel sarki :D

  • SWEET!! I HAVE THE HIGHEST VOTED COMMENT ON HERE.

  • LOVE THIS MOVIE !!!!

  • @Nomanaski THANK. YOU.

  • ok people, urdu/hindi is a VERY polite language. Openly nothing disgusting and rude can be said thankfully! so i will explain that the 'bug' she is talking about is NOT in LITERAL terms. its a metophorization of a human person. silly!... yes i agree its a gross song really but the words have thankfullybeen put it in a ROMANTISIZED way otherwise it would just be TOO gross to listen too.

so yea its pretty much birds and the bees. ma advice dont listen to the words and spin to da beat :)

  • Obsessed with this big time.

  • to all the darlings who dont undertstand the words, this song is about...lets say...

the birds and the bees. and yep its pretty metaphorised and detailed, yea DETAILED BUT ROMANTICISED. sorry if you thought it was about indian farm life...

nonetheless great beat very similar to 'choli kai peechai kya hai' song

  • @puwaynede my friend speaks Hindi told me the song was about how she's laying in bed an a bug is crawling all underneath her clothes an it tickles but she's talking about it in a sexual way like she's aroused... kinda gross if you ask me i dunno about romantic...

  • @BeccaKeturah2 HAHAHA! That is what it means...I'm an Urdu-speaker, and Hindi/Urdu are practically the same. It's a pretty nasty song actually, but I just like the tune. She's saying that a clever bug crawled into her bed while she was in a deep sleep, and that it came into her scarf and everything. And it keeps crawling without thinking, and then it becomes shy, and she's burning inside and tries to find it...yeah its a weird song

  • @WVU86 loooool a bug??

one of the commenters said it was a "boy"

    nice try hahahahah

    but still nice song :)

  • @bawain khatmal means bug...thats all I know

  • @puwaynede not enough; I demand translation, Sir/Ma'am

  • @dethklokbastard While I have my doubts as to your "race", if by some chance you are telling the truth, do me a favor; learn to spell. You're making the rest of us look dumb, simply by association.

  • @Dhalit76 well first u shud pull that fork out ur ass!!

  • And for gods sake, it's NOT a copy of choli ke peeche kya hai! It just sounds similar, accept it and move on.

  • Those drums, that rhythm, uh, it's hypnotic :)
