i play mmo's cos real life sucks when compared..you have to deal with problem after problems in real life and EVERYTHING is too damn over complicated..with mmo's its like the virtual world u can escape too...thus the many 12 yer old kids who use warcraft as their sanctuary, cos its all they got so people stop with the judging and lets enjoy mmo's together

As for the question in the description box: I actually stopped playing MMOs BECAUSE of the community. I just got sick of 12-year-old kids talking smack, all the "Pwney McPwningtons" with lame "your mom" jokes, you get the picture. Also the need of talking to other people and cooperating with them in order to achieve a goal. Fuck it, I'm a lone wolf.

That video was directed to people who spend 24 hours a day playing mmo's till they drop dead on the ground. If you don't spend 24 hours, then its in no way directed to you.

Also its really sad that you're trying to make it sound like mmo's are worth it? Have fun wasting hours of your lifespan accomplishing virtual achievements that will not benefit you outside your virtual world.

Well i've got a game myself and its better than any other and no one can question that it's called LIFE you play videogames because you want to be a hero so do i sometimes but you can be a hero in life meet Unique people like you say see lots of things because my world is bigger then yours and has more people and more hilarious moments i dont say its wrong to play videogames i play sometimes and i enjoy it but it's mutch better outside

It's a well made video, but I thoroughly disagree with the points made. Why explore a virtual world that some programmers made with inspiration from the real world? Why not explore that real world they based it on instead? And why have community with people's MMO characters when you can have community with real people face-to-face? Not to say MMO's aren't fun, but basically I'm saying: Why settle for less when you can have the real thing?

The main thing about MMOs is it allows me to be a part of a society willing to accept me for who I am, rather than what the majority of society in my real life feels I should act and be like. In an MMO I can express who I am without being judged negatively. That is why I play MMOs. The hard thing is balancing Real life work and school and relationships with MMOs.

There may be more but if you apply all the great things you said about mmo's to real life i think you will see that while doing something random in a game is nothing like doing something random in real life. Like when you approach a girl for the first time you think is really cute. The butterflies, the nervousness , the excitement. Or when your sick and a friend brings you soup without you asking? I will not say your experiences are false because maybe you do feel these things but not the same.

There are some major differences between a virtual friend and a real life friend. If i have no money for food a real life friend will cook for me. If i am hurt a real life friend will take me to the hospital. I do understand both sides of the story; i played wow for a year and a half. i had some virtual friends but there is a huge difference between them and my real life friends. If i cant pay for my wow account i still have real life friends. If i cant play wow my v.f.'s pug a new lock.

I know what he means... I just don't get why ppl differentiate virtual friends from "RL" friends for example.

How do you get to know the people? Not by touching them, just by talking/see how they react... and thats online pretty much the same.

I saw alot of relationships turning out of MMO's (for my part got alot of real life friends based on MMOs)... and its truly sad that you just criticize instead of seeing both sides.

I agree alot with CirrusEpix, but I just think there is more..
