Thank you for making videos again,I missed them Mac. But I must disagree with your point on the fact we won't ever evolve anymore. Most species took billions of years to get as far as they are now,but for us it only took 4 million years or so to move from trees to going into space. We evolved and continue to evolve in a very "2001: A space odyssey" kind of fashion.I can only see us getting more evolved within the next million years and getting in touch with our cosmic brethren wherever they are.
i think animals especially domestic animals are self aware they do not have the physical or mental capacity to change or improve their enviroment but they seem to insticintively know that by latching on to we humans that they can improve their standard of living in other words animals domestic ones definetly are into to us for a place to live and free food. i don't think humans will stay the same humans are never satisified with preserving the status quo of our existence.
@Igenerally You're right, this is a behavioral test for self-awareness, when there is a very uneven playing field regarding the width of physically possible behaviors per species. Behavioral tests for internal processes are (basically) always horrible. And I thought I made a smart... :(
I find interesting how a meme's best chance of propagation is to get taught formally by schools (its truth or falsehood is irrelevant), such as how religious schools will teach their religion, and public elementary schools may teach that Christopher Columbus was a sort of hero. It's like how the best evolutionary trait/type for any organism to have, is one that humans love and propagate themselves intentionally. So in this way, life is like memes and memes (especially religions) are like life.
@thecaster I don't understand what you mean. Can you give an example of a (non-religious) institution and the idea that supports it? Unless you are referring to science, which I agree is heavily supported by ideas.
According to new scientist the average human brain size has actually shrunk by 3 to 4 percent over the last 10,000 to 15,000 years. I would have thought by now we'd know better than to speculate about the future of humanity, after all earth like planets are supposed to be relatively common yet we have yet to run into any galactic civilisation part way through reordering the universe to its will.

@TheLonelyImmortal this is the real reason why systems and institutions, once started, are heavily supported by most ideas.

@thecaster Are you saying that all systems and institutions (that are not based in science and math) are self-propagating and therefore not reliable?

@mimib4290 You're on to the right idea.

yes, imaginary foundation.
