I live in LA and have posted concerning Side Effect, the Extremes, Duprells, Young Hearts, etc. I was an original Duprells who became Side Effect. This tune was huge in my listening routine. I'd like to meet Helen Jackson.
Greta. I lived in Munhall and used to visit Porky's studio window. I know his studio was off 8th. Ave . near the High Level bridge. I don't remember exactly.
A fantastic song! I grew up in the Pgh area and I used to listen to I Wanna Chance on the Porky Chedwick show in the mid-60s. Great song and nice to see a post from Helen Simpson. I do not know how well your song did elsewhere but you were a big hit in Pittsburgh for years!
Hello this is Helen Simpson please let me know who this is with my record.. You are right I did write and sing this. My name is Helen Jackson now I went back to my maiden name. Please contact me.
Wow, I never expected to hear from the actual artist. I'm just a music fan in Pittsburgh, who has enjoyed listening to your song for many years. I hope you don't mind that I posted it. It was very popular here in Pittsburgh, and they still play it frequently on the Sunday night oldies show on radio station WWSW.
I still have an original copy on the Markay label.
Hello Ms Jackson. This is one of the great songs and it's true, Pittsburgher's love it! I have great memories slow dances at high school dances in the early 60's to this great tune. I would love to know the background words being sung (boop boop boop....be oop (sounds like "the earl"???) Please help solve this mystery for me!
@victorvilleh .....Ms. Simpson, be very proud, this is one killer song, not only the words but you sang it fantastically with lots of heart.....love it !!!

Biggest mistake of my life was trading this record for some long forgotten 4 Seasons song.
A giant favorite of Pittsburgh late nite DJ's when all of us were parked in our secluded spots making out with our "sqeezes"!
