  • Guess what Google is getting for Chrome now? Wave! Sounds familiar? No?

  • Is there a video on how to setup opera in kiosk mode?

  • operasoftware, This video rocks.

  • Приглашаю русскоязычных пользователей на uniteopera. ru . Особенно буду рад видеть программистов с материалами по разработке для Opera Unite

  • how can i delete shared files? please answere

  • delete the file on your computer or move it out of the shared folder.

  • So what happened to Opera Unite in Opera 10? I don't see it there. Is it only in the Beta version?

  • I guess it's not stable yet, it will be available in Opera 10.10.

If you're impatient got to: unite some-dotty-character opera another-character-like-that com

  • it has been announced by Opera software long ago that Opera Unite will be included into Opera 10.10 release which is coming really soon...

  • it's in 10.1

  • The many of blockhead will be barking and crying because of that simple fileshare! And what about the copyrights? :))

  • There are a alot of things you can do to-date that is just as easy for sharing files. Ofcourse there will be (as always) big companies that tries to limit this, but that wont happen since the web needs to grow. What I'm thinking about is how Opera did this, where is everything happening(?) how does the firewall handling all those requests? There are alot of question marks from my side, so I'm waiting with awe for this one :)

  • Opera siempre mantuvo un balance entre buenas opciones y exelente velocidad, pero ultimamente tengo miedo que lo terminen arruinando, en pos de una busqueda frenetica de funciones "inovadoras". Just Keep it working fine, opera people....please?

  • You can also set up direct access via port forwarding, bypassing the default proxy system Opera has in place. More secure, more reliable. At that point the only 3rd party I'm running through is my ISP.

  • Opera is the best! Enjoying the latest beta 2 right now, using it as my primary browser. Awesome!

  • Opera Unite isn't spyware, don't use Firefox 3.5 or Google Chrome 2 instead.

    How do I know?

I'm using the Opera Unite Media Player right now.

  • ... this seems sorta like the idea of p2p does it not?

I like this idea, but countries like australia that still have cable connections instead of fibre optics won't be able to take advantage of such feautres, most of Europe + Asia will though..

  • yeah but if Rudd the dud creates the high speed network he promised that might change

  • ...i cant read

  • somebody call 911, shawty fire burning on the dancefloor..

  • You can set your own password and usernames.

  • You can..

  • I think you can use manual port forwarding instead of UPnP but I'll have to check this out!

  • some bugs in connection mode if working via proxy - not want connect directly to myself or to users at private network (connectig via opera's servers)

  • -torrent like protocol should be used.

    -ability to use/add favorite "trackers"

-ability to share disk space not folders/files

Every home should bring part of bandwidth, part of disk space, and routing service via personal routers.

    -complete anonymity

    -complete distribution

    -complete redundancy

then "The Internet" would be a medium in a true sence.

...our drives will move online and be completly distribuited.

    then we will be Unite!

  • it's works via opera servers if UPnP not suported by network

  • so sexy voice..mmm

    yeahh i'm probably an idiot.

  • OMG TEH WIN!

  • It does work you have to start the service before you can use the url

  • Wether we like opera or not, it's another mean to share files easily. The more different means there is, the better.

  • DC++ ???

  • 1:25

  • It looks like the pre-installed torrent service into the browser.

Because of sharing the content is illegal in many countries, do you think Opera really makes the consumer innovation ?

  • Exciting!

  • we are using opera servers again. I thought we share directly with our friends but i guess not, because u use opera proxies. haha this is a joke

  • Wouldn't it be more interesting with a video that showed *what* Opera could do and why we should switch over to it?

  • OMG!!! Up The Opera!!!

  • Yeah "simple and useful" but all traffic is proxied through opera servers, its centralized system. No thanks for me :)

  • Everything is centralized then. When you use bittorrent, you need a torrent, when you use Emule you need a server...

  • I meant "you need a tracker", of course. Sorry.

  • It's currently proxied, but in the future it'll be all peer-to-peer - That's what the "Use uPNP" option is for :)

  • You forget that not all networks are uPNP friendly , furthermore uPNP dont provide secure authentication that will be a problem too at some point. But nice "proof of concept" though.

  • fuck thats great invention just amazing.

  • of course opera is the best

  • Opera e Firefox. :P

  • always one step on the future, Great for Opera

  • Where is the best browser? Firefox? Safari Chrome.. they locked in web2

This is the web 3.0 and opera :D

  • At 0:44 you choose the computer name "notebook", but at 1:35 it's accessed using "laptop" :P

  • You have very good eyes! :)

  • Daniel... This is for a reason. They were showing that you can access the same information via any browser on any of your computers.

  • Hmmm... The way that I saw it is that the first PC (a Windows PC) is running Opera and using Opera Unite with a computer name of "notebook", and the second computer (a Mac) was accessing the first computer's Opera Unite page. So, shouldn't they be the same name, since they're both accessing the same thing?

  • Those are different computers. The first one is a Windows, and the second is a Mac, hence, the unmatching names.

  • Is there any way to search for other Opera Unite sites?

  • Great Opera!
