1. I am sorry that you have rejected the creator of logic, reason, and common sense to worship his creations.
2. But you have failed to use them correctly, and therefore, your counterfeits of them have failed you. Specifically, your logic, reason, and common sense failed to notify you that the lake of fire and hell are not the same, and that their existence (whether myth or not is irrelevant) was recorded hundreds of years before the Vatican and Roman Catholic church even existed.
1. You have a logical fallacy to address, given that the teachings predated the existence of the Vatican by hundreds of years.
2. Secondly, does the word "certain" mean: sure, beyond doubt or question; indisputable? How then do you interpret Luke 16:19-20 in light of this, and in the greater context of verses 19-31?
@bereanresearch If you believe in hell, you believe that god is the worst tyrant ever. Hitler, Stalin etc. they killed their opponents, and that was the end. But htis loving heavenly father he tortures FOR ALL ETERNITY, not only his opponents but even those who happen to NOT BELIEVE in him.
1. Well, it didn't take you long to abandon your logic, reason, and common sense in favour of an emotional response based on ignorance.
2. You have ignored two of my questions.
3. Besides that, given that your logic, etc, failed you in making the pre-existent doctrine of hell a fabrication of the Catholic church that began hundreds of years later, wouldn't it be reasonable to consider that your logic may also be failing you in understanding the reality of hell and the lake of fire?
@bereanresearch Emotional question based on ignorance; So much so, that you can`t give a reasonable rebuttal of my statement, which was indeed based on logic and common sense. And if you want the theological background for the non existance of hell, as a real place of torture, you have to go back to Middle-Age theologian Thomas Aquinus and st. Augustine
@bereanresearch:Even Jesus spoke of hell in allegory, using Gehenna, the garbage dump close to Jerusalem. Hell as we know it, is the figment of Dante`s Imagination. Nothing else.
2. No, they are not the same place. Hell and the Lake of Fire are two separate places. Jesus told us about the rich man and Lazarus in Luke chapter 16 so that we would know the ungodly wait in Hell (Luke 16:23) until they are resurrected for judgment (John 5:29) when they are cast forever into the Lake of Fire (Rev 20:13-15).
@bereanresearch So hell and the" lake of fire" are two different places. What silly nonsense. What else can you come up with the scare the hell out of simpletons ? Both are fiction.
3. No, the King James Bible has no errors in it (new bible versions do though). Look up these verses in the King James Bible. It is the only word of God in English.
4. You know that criminals are arrested and thrown into the county jail until they are brought before a judge for trial, after which they are sent to federal penitentiaries to serve their sentence. Hell and the Lake of Fire are similar, except that God will ultimately cast even hell itself into the Lake of Fire.
@bereanresearch-- No, the King James Bible has no errors in it -- Fantasy. There is not a single translation that is 100 % correct. Traduire, c`est trahir. And since the bbile has had numerous translations from translations, there must be lots of errors.
@bereanresearch ; And don`t goget that for over two thousand years the bible was copied by scribes. How accurate do you think the final product will be ? Or do you invoke the guidance of the Holy spirit ?
5. If God can create the whole universe (Gen 1:1) and then roll up heaven like a scroll (Is 34:4), it is easy to believe that he can cast Hell, the waiting place, into a final place of judgment as huge as the Lake of fire, as easily as you might throw a piece of cardboard into a fire pit.
6. You can ALWAYS trust the King James Bible, God's Word in English, COMPLETELY.
1. Many bible colleges are wrong about that; and so is the Pope - same issue.
2. Among many other things I have had to do today, I planned to draft replies to the barrage of posts you keep sending - but I'd prefer to address things methodically to keep this simple - for others' sake, of course; not for yours. Besides, if we can't agree on facts, consistent with science and consistent with the laws of logic, then any discussion we have would be inconclusive, if not meaningless anyway.
@bereanresearch Many bible colleges are wrong, The pope is wrong, but you mr Beraanresearch are absolutely sure that you are right. Get of your horse of self-righteousness and learn some humility. It will do you a lot of good.
3. Moreover, two of your last two posts made me laugh so hard that I just had to address them first (I'll post the others later if you still want them.)
4. God's word is the only reliable authority that exists. The fact that you reject it exposes your lack of wisdom, but what is really amazing is that you are foolish enough to put your accusations against it into print.
@bereanresearch: Gods word, sir, in other words the bible, can never be the word of god, because if it were, it would contain ONLY UNIVERSAL values, valid from the beginning of time to the end and in all places + straithforward instructions how to lead a life pleasing to god. The bible does neither, but reflects a morality from a certain era in Jewish history.
5. OK, you think you are smart. You pride yourself in reason and logic, but you rely on "there MUST be lots of errors" in the King James Bible, rather than simply stating one of them. So, go ahead. State one for the record.
6. You also foolishly posted an absolute statement that God didn't create the whole universe; yet you have no scientific proof for your claim - because that claim is inconsistent with the scientific method. All you have is your BELIEF that he didn't create it.
@bereanresearch. I state a genarel fact; THAT NO TRANSLATION IS EVER 100% CORRECT. That any modern bible is the result of many translations from translations and therefore must contain many errors. And about creation , you have no scientific proof for creation.NONE. In fact as I stated before many of your colleges don`t even teach biblical creation.
7. So, let's stick with facts. If God exists, and if the bible is his word, as it claims to be - and as I believe it to be - then prove beyond a doubt that it is unreliable. Given your attitude and misguided self-confidence, that should be 'easy' for you.
1. Well, you've had six days now to study - the same amount of time that the LORD used to create heaven, earth, the sea, and all that in them is (Ex 20:11) - and yet you have failed to find ONE "error" in the King James Bible!
2. I encourage you to trust his word, and to reject the lies that men who hate God have taught you.
@bereanresearch Men don`t hate god. Why would they. If he exists, you can only bring chastisement upon, you by hating him, and if he doesn`t exist, it makes no sense to hate NOTHING.
Very well presented .Keep up the good fight ! Can you go after the false teachers like Robert schuller ! who said i have not preached about hell in over 40 years or the false healers prophets and money preachers like Benny Hinn /Kenneth Copland and his wife ! Instead of the church going into the world to preach the good news about Jesus Christ ,they have widen the gate that god said is narrow and allowed the world to come in and influence the church ! with music feel good sermons & prosperity
4. Robert Schuller said in an Oct 5, 1984 article in Christianity Today, "I don't think anything has been done in the name of Christ and under the banner of Christianity that has proven more destructive to human personality and, hence, counterproductive to the evangelism enterprise than the often crude, uncouth, and unchristian strategy of attempting to make people aware of their lost and sinful condition."
5. Clearly, Robert Schuller teaches "another" gospel. (Gal 1:8,9)
1. Yes, as with money, paintings and other things, there is one genuine article and many counterfeits of that true one. The bible says many will go the broad way to destruction and few will find the narrow way to life. Jesus claimed to be the only way and he validated his authority by rising from the dead. So there is only one true religion and many false ones.
2. There is also only one true church - or body of Christ. Upon true repentance (turning away from sinful ways) and acceptance of Jesus' death as the 'propitiation' (payment) for sin, we can be saved. 'Believing on Jesus' means more than just acknowledging that he existed as an historical figure. As mentioned earlier, John 8:31 describes how we can be true disciples.
3. Joining a 'church' won't make you a Christian. In fact, in Rev 18:4 God commands his people (Christians) to come out from the Roman Catholic church, the whore of Babylon, and all of her harlot daughters. The bible says in I Cor 12:13 that by one spirit we are baptized into one body - the body of Christ. So, you need to study God's word yourself and obey it, as written, and fellowship with others who will study and obey God's word as it is written as well.
4. You can say that you have accepted and believe in Jesus, and I hope that you have. But if you actually haven't then you are deceiving yourself (and/or are trying to deceive others) and it would be a shame and a waste to spend eternity in Hell for such a lie when it is so easy to accept the truth and be free.
Although Jehovahs Witnesses bible is obviously mis-translated.. I have never seen another group of people more willing to spend everyday of their lives to God, not debunking it but preaching it..
Are you saying these people are going to Hell, because they are decieved over trivial versus? They are still very christian, I dont know anyother religion that tries so hard to show people GOD by actually going house to house..
I dont see penacostals, baptists or anyone else doin that
1. J.W.s are not deceived over trivial verses. Yes, many of them are deceived, but everyone is responsible for accepting the truth that has been revealed to them. The doctrines of the Watchtower are dangerous; not trivial. For example, Paul warned us in II Cor 11:4 about people who preach "another Jesus" and in Gal 1:8 about those who preach "another gospel'.
2. The true Jesus said he is the ONLY way to heaven. If the J.W.s have another Jesus, then obviously they haven't found THE way to heaven. The Jesus of the Watchtower is not God who manifested himself in the flesh. But the bible says that Jesus is God. So the Watchtower teaches another Jesus and another gospel.
3. A person is only a Christian - one of Christ's - if they continue in God's word (John 8:31; Acts 11:26). Because the bible of the Watchtower is not God's word, it teaches a false Jesus and a false gospel, so J.W.s are not Christians. They are followers of Charles Taze Russell and of the Watchtower leadership.
4. The bible is clear that we are saved by faith and not by works. Eph 2:8,9. There is nothing a person can DO to become saved. Many people in the world are religious. Muslims pray five times a day; many catholics attend mass religiously, but none of these things will save a person. Yes, we can admire the dedication of J.W.s, muslims, catholics, hindus, etc, to their religions, but it is fruitless and wrong to endorse their religions, because their religions are false.
5. Mormons go door to door and their religion is false. Pentecostals and Baptists won't go to heaven on the basis of their denomination either. Only those who are 'born again' will see the kingdom of heaven. John 3:3
ok,Question: for you obviously smart, sharp christian people...
If someone believed in god yet still lived a normal worldly life, is he/she going to Hell? The same Hell as Politicians, the illumanati, free masons, catholics/pharasies, and all those that purposly fight god at every level...
because for some half minded innocent bistandard, that seems like a pretty harsh punishment.
Possibly 80 years of life for neverending torture..
I can see that for someone who decieves the meek on purpose!
1. Thank you for watching and taking time to comment.
2. Most people believe in some 'god' or other, but there is only one true God, the creator of heaven and earth, and the bible reveals that God to us. Jesus claimed to be the only way to heaven and he's the only one who has raised himself from the dead as proof of his claims. Anyone who has transgressed God's law (sinned) must repent and accept the death of Jesus as payment for their sin.
3. Hell seems harsh to you because you don't understand the destructiveness of sin. The death of Jesus, the sinless lamb of God, was the only price acceptable as a penalty for such transgression. You are not sinless, so you cannot afford making that payment yourself. That is why the second death in the Lake of Fire is forever.
4. Think of it this way. If you buy a multi-million dollar mansion and make payments from your modest salary at high interest rates, you will never pay off the mortgage. You will always be in debt. Sin creates unbearable debt in our lives, and only Jesus has the ability to pay the penalty for it. Do you want him as a friend who will do that for you, or do you want him as your judge in sentencing you to pay it off yourself?
We didn't intentionally "delete" or "remove" or "discard" anything. If we had anything to do with the disappearance of your video it was completely by accident. (We are brand new to using this website.) If that happened, please accept our apologies. We disagree with your video but would welcome you to re-post it. Please don't pre-judge our actions and please don't judge our motives. Thank you. We have no interest in being contentious. We care about you.
Thank you. As creator, God has every right to make the rules. He doesn't want anyone to perish. Everyone who goes to Hell does so by his/her own choice of rebellion against God. There is no excuse. By calling this "torture", you simply lack understanding of - or are in defiant rebellion against - the HOLINESS of the living God JEHOVAH. God commandeth all men every where to repent - Acts 17:30. I pray that you will choose to follow God's way and repent. God wants you in heaven; not Hell.
Obviously this is figurative speech, not to be applied literally. Who will be so absurd as to say Jesus meant for his followers to chop off hands or feet or pluck out eyes? No hell-fire believer today applies this literally, cutting off his hand when it does something wrong or a foot when it strays or gouging out an eye if it looks in lust. We know the salt is symbolical.
Thank you for your thoughts. On judgment day, those who continued in sin would gladly offer a limb or eye in exchange for life. To "offend" is to turn away from the truth. The solution is to "Repent" now - turn away from sin. The bible uses symbolism to convey understanding to us, but that doesn't negate reality. For example, we are "like sheep" but we have two legs and are people who will be in heaven, not in a stable. The flames of hell will inflict "torment". That is certain.
But the lake of fire in Revelation is not hell. Hell is thrown into the lake of fire (Rev. 20:14). Congratuations, "Bereans", for lying to people about God's word.
Thank you for watching our video, Tony. I understand very well that Hell is not the Lake of Fire and will itself be cast into it.
But it seems you don't understand Hell itself has flames too, as these verses and Luke 16:24 say.
The Lake of Fire inflicts "torment" on its residents "for ever and ever" - Rev 20:10. The unjust are in Hell until the Great White throne judgment and then cast into the Lake of Fire - Rev 20:15.
The verses are clear. Please reconsider your accusation that I am lying.
Luke 16:24 is not a doctrinal statement about what hell is. It is a parable. Otherwise we would be taught that persons in hell can hold conversations with those in heaven, and even that old Abraham conversed with those in hell.
It is the dragon, the beast and the false prophet which are tormented in the lake of fire. Hades(hell) can give up the dead in it but the nothing returns from the lake of fire.
1. Parables are told as parables. Luke 16 is told as a real story with a "certain" rich man, a specific man named "Lazarus" (when other parables don't use names) and Abraham, who we all know was real.
2. You err in your understanding of hell and of the conversation. Abraham was not in heaven. As a faithful Old Testament saint, he was in the heart of the earth - separate from hell - by a deep gulf fixed - until Jesus led captivity captive and set the captives free.
3. You are correct that death and hell will deliver up the dead in them, and that nothing will return from the Lake of Fire. Everyone who goes there - all of the unjust - will never escape.
4. It's a horrible destination, regardless of how long you believe a person might be there.
It seems you have the idea that the Lake of Fire will annihilate what is cast into it. Who taught you that Tony?
I have quoted scriptures that prove there is no end to it - forever and ever.
Read Rev 14:11 again in God's word (the King James Bible) and answer this please:
If the people who are cast into the Lake of Fire have no rest day nor night and the smoke of their torment rises up for ever and ever, how do you conclude anything cast into it will be annihilated?
Rev. 14:11 does not mention the "lake of fire". In verse 10, immediately prior, the third angel states that those with the mark of the beast will be drinking the wine of the wrath of God. Are you suggesting that persons will be drinking wine while in the lake of fire?
Thanks, Tony. Okay, if you don't want to compare scripture with scripture, then I will need to know where YOU think the people of Rev 14:10,11 will be tormented for ever and ever, and where you think they will be when they have no rest day nor night.
1. Absolutely - Death and Hell will be cast into the Lake of Fire. That's Rev 20:14
2. And people will go there. Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Matt 25:41
3. It is no wonder then why Jesus said that, in Hell, their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched - Mark 9:44,46,48 - because the Lake of Fire will burn forever and ever - Rev 20:10 and nothing will be consumed there - the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever.
4. And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. - Rev 14:11
There is NO lake of fire. It`s childish nonsense.

What is hell on this verse? and the lake of fire?
is this a mistake in the King james translation?

1. J.W.s are not deceived over trivial verses. Yes, many of them are deceived, but everyone is responsible for accepting the truth that has been revealed to them. The doctrines of the Watchtower are dangerous; not trivial. For example, Paul warned us in II Cor 11:4 about people who preach "another Jesus" and in Gal 1:8 about those who preach "another gospel'.
bereanresearch 2 years ago

Anyone who has transgressed God's law (sinned) must repent and accept the death of Jesus as payment for their sin.
bereanresearch 2 years ago
3. Hell seems harsh to you because you don't understand the destructiveness of sin. The death of Jesus, the sinless lamb of God, was the only price acceptable as a penalty for such transgression. You are not sinless, so you cannot afford making that payment yourself. That is why the second death in the Lake of Fire is forever.
bereanresearch 2 years ago

Not bad production value.
Nice Kingdom Hall, unless it's summer.
I think my vid response gives people enough to think about when it comes to torturing the creations of God.
TRUTHINTHEBIBLE 2 years ago

20:14). Congratuations, "Bereans", for lying to people about God's word.
tonyschmoeredux 2 years ago
Thank you for watching our video, Tony. I understand very well that Hell is not the Lake of Fire and will itself be cast into it.
But it seems you don't understand Hell itself has flames too, as these verses and Luke 16:24 say.
The Lake of Fire inflicts "torment" on its residents "for ever and ever" - Rev 20:10. The unjust are in Hell until the Great White throne judgment and then cast into the Lake of Fire - Rev 20:15.
The verses are clear. Please reconsider your accusation that I am lying.
bereanresearch 2 years ago
Luke 16:24 is not a doctrinal statement about what hell is. It is a parable. Otherwise we would be taught that persons in hell can hold conversations with those in heaven, and even that old Abraham conversed with those in hell.
It is the dragon, the beast and the false prophet which are tormented in the lake of fire. Hades(hell) can give up the dead in it but the nothing returns from the lake of fire.
Please sir, read God's word.
tonyschmoeredux 2 years ago 2
1. Parables are told as parables. Luke 16 is told as a real story with a "certain" rich man, a specific man named "Lazarus" (when other parables don't use names) and Abraham, who we all know was real.
2. You err in your understanding of hell and of the conversation. Abraham was not in heaven. As a faithful Old Testament saint, he was in the heart of the earth - separate from hell - by a deep gulf fixed - until Jesus led captivity captive and set the captives free.
bereanresearch 2 years ago
I didn't say Abraham was in heaven.
I said Abraham did/does not talk to persons in hell.
tonyschmoeredux 2 years ago
3. You are correct that death and hell will deliver up the dead in them, and that nothing will return from the Lake of Fire. Everyone who goes there - all of the unjust - will never escape.
4. It's a horrible destination, regardless of how long you believe a person might be there.

Hell and death are cast into the lake of fire.
tonyschmoeredux 2 years ago
Hell is not eternal.
tonyschmoeredux 2 years ago
It seems you have the idea that the Lake of Fire will annihilate what is cast into it. Who taught you that Tony?
I have quoted scriptures that prove there is no end to it - forever and ever.
Read Rev 14:11 again in God's word (the King James Bible) and answer this please:
If the people who are cast into the Lake of Fire have no rest day nor night and the smoke of their torment rises up for ever and ever, how do you conclude anything cast into it will be annihilated?
bereanresearch 2 years ago
Rev. 14:11 does not mention the "lake of fire". In verse 10, immediately prior, the third angel states that those with the mark of the beast will be drinking the wine of the wrath of God. Are you suggesting that persons will be drinking wine while in the lake of fire?
tonyschmoeredux 2 years ago
Thanks, Tony. Okay, if you don't want to compare scripture with scripture, then I will need to know where YOU think the people of Rev 14:10,11 will be tormented for ever and ever, and where you think they will be when they have no rest day nor night.
bereanresearch 2 years ago
If you want to evade my question that is ok.
tonyschmoeredux 2 years ago
1. Absolutely - Death and Hell will be cast into the Lake of Fire. That's Rev 20:14
2. And people will go there. Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Matt 25:41
3. It is no wonder then why Jesus said that, in Hell, their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched - Mark 9:44,46,48 - because the Lake of Fire will burn forever and ever - Rev 20:10 and nothing will be consumed there - the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever.
bereanresearch 2 years ago
James chap 3 also says (KJV) the tongue is also a fire.
tonyschmoeredux 2 years ago
4. And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. - Rev 14:11
