I just got Windows 7 on a new computer. Man...one step forward two steps back. Movie Maker is so freaking limiting. And Windows has done away with being able to position clips and photos in folders however you want. Terrible decisions.

I've made videos but can't get them up on youtube for some reason. I used to be able too but then my computer died and I got it back fixed and everything but now I can't get anything up. Anyone know what I can do or what's going wrong? it keeps coming up with this error that says "you're video couldn't go up because of this issue (0x00083) or something along those lines yet it doesn't say how to fix it or what to do.

I'm making a 'favorite horror movie quotes' video, and one of my most important clips, isn't just the quote, but the actually 5 min into the movie. The quote is only a few seconds long. I havent quite found a way to just cut out the quote and get rid of the rest, i know the time when the quote is too. If you could help me?

@lostnerd3 That video file is most likely DRM protected which will prevent you from importing into Windows Live Movie Maker.

@kennynfs27 Try putting the videos somewhere easy to find, like your desktop. When you go to add them, just navigate to the desktop and they should be easy to find.

@xLeGiTxLiMiTz Unfortunately there's presently no way to combine both projects. You will need to publish one of the projects as a movie and then add that movie to the other project. Hope this helps!

You can however, add multiple movies to the same project if that's what you're trying to do.

@qnbs7 YouTube widescreen uses a 16:9 ratio for widescreen, so any resolution works as long as it maintains that ratio.

Sorry, but .3gp files aren't supported in Windows Live Movie Maker. Here's a list of supported files so you can convert the files to a supported format:

Sorry, but you can't download videos from YouTube into Windows Live Movie Maker. You'll have to find a proper way to obtain the files and then import.

Question: in Previous movie Makers there was a folder etc to store videos or pictures etc. and a horisontal bar x3 to place footage, music or words.why is this not in the latest version?

Looks Great but Preforms a lot worse than other windows movie makers, compare this to XP and Vista windows movie Maker and I believe you will agree older versions were more funtional and simple to use
