  • i can get this! thank you so much! i found the best way to get used to it is to try it with just one hand then just imagine the line it traces and follow it with the second poi.

  • I DONT GET ITT!!!!!! I can do more advanced moves than this, but for some reason my head can't get to grip with these moves :( :( :(

  • @meenik It was just the way I was moving my shoulders. It went away when I got comfortable with it.

  • @geth1111111 Grinding is bad! You're definitely doing something wrong. Poi should never hurt. You don't need to do anything funny with your head or neck with this.

  • @meenik it was just the way i was moving my shoulders, it went away once i got comfortable with it :)

  • And another question...I see Oggpoi is no longer for sale...are the lED glow poi on HOP hard shelled. And if sooo do you know where I can get squishy LED poi? :)

  • Question...Can you get those poi off of HOP...? And can the pro series LED Glow poi take a beating? And are the poi in the video, The Normal cheaper LED poi on HOP?

  • um "PLAYPOI" ......

am i the only one that sees it :S

  • Windmill hurts ma face... Lots ^^ good thing i changed from tennisballs to water balloons!

  • help me!! :(

  • These videos are incredibly helpful, thanks so much for making them! I just started spinning last week with flag poi and I'm really enjoying it, thanks to these wonderful tutorials and lessons from playpoi and others =D

  • Wow! Nick and team! Thanks so much for you poi videos! I've learned everything I know from you guys. I've been playing with my sock poi everywhere I go. I'm here in Galway, Ireland and they have some beautiful spots to poi. I just wish there was more people doing it. ;)

  • where did u get those poi

  • they are ogg poi with cole rope with ball bearing swivel and single loop handle

  • Home of Poi and flowtoys

  • i did this just playing around trying to figure out how to get from 3weave forward to backward. it looks cool like a drawing a rainbow. this video helped me get it backward weave to forward in just about a min

  • Argh, I keep whacking myself in the back. I see this one is going to take lots of practice.

  • These were the 1st 2 moves I learn't. From cork screw i just raised my hands above my head and straightened the plane.

Very different 2 butterflies, but ppl get confused cos' both moves can be done over head.

With reels the hand movements r circular and don't bounce: )

  • Windmill is driving me nuts!

Can get the corkscrew to work reasonably well, but any attempts in bringing it vertical results in whacking myself in the face/all over, or simply tangling them up trying to keep the beat.

Think I'll avoid doing it in public. haha.

    Great tutorial though! =)

  • Hey ive been spinning for about 3 years and if you want to get the Windmills down easily. Practice with socks and heavier weight. i used rice. it makes them heavier and makes the spinning easier due to the weight. and once you get good at them. spread your hands over your shoulders. looks awesome and leaves you plenty of room for other moves!! :D

  • Just got to say these two moves took me about 2 hours to get down perfect, practice is key :)

  • Hehe windmill sounds good, you could even call it a split time alternate butterfly though ;) .

  • oooo so windmill is like vertical corkscrew.

  • Heehee. The problem is that people use different names for the same moves. There are no standards to it's confusing. I learned it as "the windmill" as did many others, but Chasing the Sun is just another name for the same move. Technically, it's split-time crossing over your head, but that's not as romantic sounding ;D

  • @meenik

i konw what you mean about the different names for same moves, and to give an example, you said that "chasing the sun" is the same as the windmill, but i learned chasing the sun as 'same time' windmill, not spit time...that way they are following right after eachother instead of on different beats.......its confusing with the names at times when trying to tell others what you've learned and they learned it under a different name..lol...

  • So to make it more clear, a windmill is more or less a split-time chasing the sun. I think... XD
