Thanks Richard, thanks to your strategy I was finally able to kill this guy 5 stars and get 3 trophies right there! I'm at 88% in trophies for this game now.
I just beat this guy, I was my 4th attempt and I was about to die an he was about to casts Wicked Whirl, luckily he dies just before do it, because I had cast poison on him before that, 5 stars, lucky shot I guess.
@djparnate this battle system is very good, and you better stick with it because Final Fantasy XIII-2 does have the same battle system, the only problem is that some monsters became very hard, which makes it impossible to complete the game at 100%.
i can never beat this thing with the strategy you and the others given :/ my party with (Lightning, Fang, Hope)
however the only time i've beat this boss with 5* was the time when i was messing around using (Sazh, Fang, Snow) with a messed up paradigms... which tortoise, Relentless Assault are included and the rest just messed up...
@BUNNYANDDIABLO The Eidolon that gestalts into a horse is called Odin by the way. Also, him crying about his mothers death (which I'm pretty sure any kid would do dumbass) has nothing to do with using him in battle... Actually, what does fighting Odin have to do with anything at all either. GTFO.
@BUNNYANDDIABLO Insanely high Magic makes him an incredible Ravager, Medic and Synergist. Not to mention, he is the only Medic (save Vannile) with Curasa/Curaja. He's the best Synergist besides Sazh. Hope is an excellent ally.
@Helixthetiger you get a gold watch for beating him, if you equip it, it makes the target time, which you have to get under to get stars and shit, substantially higher...
@bluetreason I just fought him for the first time and only got three stars :( I'm about to attempt it again with the gold watch, which I imagine should help A LOT! This fight is VERY difficult, but just use the strategy RichardPwns says with the poisoning him, and you should be fine!!!
@Cloudynight217 Alright then. I still have yet to get to fight him because I am not 100% through the crystogen just yet, I just need one more role for everybody then I am done. I hope I can kill him without much problems.
its it bttr 2 train n then come back 2 this mission

I beat him in 10 minutes the 2nd time around but I still got 4 stars. What time is needed for a 5* rating?

@Helixthetiger it depends, the stronger you are the lower the time limit

Well this battle is going to be hard as hell. >_>
Would you recommend a gold watch to five star him? Just curious.
