You can thank the AMA for doing away all the 2 strokes. It takes double the displacement of a 4 stroke to what a 2 stroke 250 will put out. Also when you do a top end job on a 4 stroke you are paying 3 time more than to do a 2 stroke.

All the bikes stock are more like Cr125, Ktm125 (needs mix jets work and random fuel crap), Yz125, then RM and Kx. I'm not going to add Husqvarna because i've only rode their 520. Yz125 vs Rm is a hard choice for me, but Kx125's were really hard to ride stock.
