Let us know when you contribute something worthwhile, because from what I've seen your Youtube channel is flooded with some of the most atrocious garbage I've ever seen. You're neither funny or clever, and your videos are un-fucking watchable. Helisell created a valuable learning tool, the only one who doesn't belong here is you.
love the piece and am trying to get it just how you play it ... the tabs dont seem to match up exactly on the last three measures (D7 and G). trying to get it by ear but still struggling. any help??
A little tip for anyone with small hands having a hard time stretching their fingers to play these chords is to put a capo on a few frets up. Play the same chord shapes and because the frets are closer together you don't have to reach as far.
This would have been a very good tutorial if the right hand pick could be seen. This way, it is no use - tabs don't help in this case if you can't read tabs fluently. This is definitely not a beginners tutorial as stated
@EnChante2010 That is what the tab is for, use common sense when using your fingers to pick the notes. If you are attempting to play ragtime, then I assume you have some experience.
You are doing a great job here Mike, and I have learned a lot in the short time I have been watching your videos. Thank you and keep up the awesome teaching!
Nice one Mike, you know how much i appreciate your work, i have been tought by you for over a year now and i just can get enough of your lessons as there are always new and interesting techniques to learn, not to mention that you always make it fun by giving us full songs to practise our new chords with, just great! i am really looking forward to that Country video lesson you have in progect. all the best to you guys. Cheers, Alvaro.
Fun little piece sped up at the end too Mike. I like your regular over-the-shoulder camera angles better, but this short rag in a basement worked out well.
This reminded me of a tune from a famous movie. After googling it I realize it can be played by a beginner with a little practice and a friend to play with. Here is the link on youtube
these licks open doors btw.

Funny thing .... This is an "easy" ragtime song, yet it's basically a difficult guitar song.

it kinda sounds like "nobody knows you when you're down and out" by derek and the dominos, but pepped up a little.

What would be a good bridge for this riff?

Thanks

A good teacher teaches you how to play,
a better teacher teaches you how to play even better,
but the best teacher teaches you to have fun in playing.
And that is exactly what Mike is doing.
Thanks Mike !!
Nice instruction, something more for me to practice
