You know I didn`t know much about Micheal Madsen, my impression was most likely gone the way of other actors and taken too many drugs, wow was I wrong..... this man is genius, writer, director, actor, poet and photographer..... he was under study to John Malkovich.... how come we only here about the actors like Lindsey Lohan.. and their waste of space associates i want to hear more of peaple like Micheal Madsen.
Thank God he didn't play Mr. Pink! That just wouldn't have been anything near the same. The casting and the roles were perfect, IMO. Love that movie! Great flick.
I'm no professional actor, but I do believe that a character as tyranical as Mr Blonde is very aware that his actions are ''wrong''; he simply does not give a damn.
No fear, a feeling of dominance over everyone, and a delight in destruction. Enough said.
I agree. Remake of Patton with Michael Madsen would have been awesome :D He isn't just a good actor, but he is also highly intellectual. Kill Bill is my favorite Madsen movie.
@tweekedoutrabbit Yea and new actors would just be a a stupid sequel, like the Hannibal Lecter sequel which didn't even feature Jodie Foster. But I bet Quentin has written/started writing a screenplay for it and he always said he would start writing books when he turned a certain age so it might be printable one day, but as for film its dead.
@Griffin485 Agreed there is NO one else that can play the roles of the Vega brothers. Sucks therre won't be a film especially because Quentin Tarantino was thinking about (maybe even wrote the script) but if he writes the book i would definetly read it!
Michael Madsen, is definitely an amazing performer in cinema. He was an early influence to me as well he had this spot-on idiosyncrasy of usually being the breakout character of any film percieved from his cool attributes. But Michael, has went into lines of cinema that is just shitty such as BloodRayne, Scary Movie 4, House and Last Hour. I think Michael should start putting more effort into finding movies worthy of his his endeavor appearance not these shit ones that are being made.
@chriskoob: sam jackson couldnt have played mr blonde, because when mr blonde was going to fight mr white, pink said: "YOURE ACTING LIKE A COUPLE OF NIGGERS!!"
lil known movie fact is that sam jackson had audition for the role of Mr. Blond but quentin wanted to go with micheal instead for the role but kept sam in mind for the role of jules in pulp fiction .. the rest as they say is history
Micheal Madsen seems like a very interesting man. (He also seems kinda like he doesn't know that well Tarrintino even though he's in a good handful of his movies Sin City, Kill Bill 1 and 2, and this one hmm .)
I see a bald spot happening in the back of Mr. Madsen's head. Terrible thing to have happen to a man with such a great head of hair. Hope he gets some Bosley plugs put in real soon.
Yeah, the problem with white was his compasion got in the way of his profesionalism. I have to give him credit for sticking to his guns even when it came to pointing a gun at his long time friend but he screwed everything up by sticking up for Orange. All of them might have been shot or captured by the police waiting for them anyways.
Michael Madsen is so under-appreciated by Hollywood, as are Jeff Wincott, Michael Pare, Eric Roberts and James Woods. Madsen is the coolest of cool. Not one thing about him isn't awesome and amazing.
Agreed but Bond was cool dude, he murdered a bunch of people, shot some cops and took one hostage, then he stoped to get a burger. That's just awesome.
Agreed - Madsen was hard as fuck in Reservoir Dogs but it's kind of a relief to see him acting like a normal human being in this interview and not like the cold-blooded sadist he portrayed as "Mr. Blonde" (a part he nailed so well that it went on to become his big break in acting).

i had to watch this movie for my english class and i didnt understand it at all. was the point just to throw a bunch of violence together and to put a plot on it with a big climax or was there an underlying message? someone please tell me what this message is if there is one.
The police dept. was adroit enough to plant a spy in the midst of the crooks' caper, but there was a host of unforeseen consequences. Tim Roth's character begins to realize that these guys are more than a match for what the cops have planned, and is unable to prevent ongoing tragic events. Or something to that effect?
All three of them kicked ass in Donnie Brasco but Quentin Tarantino only directed one scene in Sin City but was clearly an influence to Robert Rodrigez and Frank Miller.

Madsen had a botched removal of his tonsils a long time ago, they fucked up his throat. That's the reason for his voice. Not smoking.
