  • Did they play the song twice in this video?

  • i remember this tour. it was incredible!! Quennsryche really rocked that night.

  • Queensryche's lyrics were so ahead of their time. Nowadays, you have a lot of people laying into government and religious corruption, but no one was doing it back in the 80s. It's a miracle they didn't get protested or boycotted.

  • @psyoptica i think that there was as much corruption then as there was now but that ppls just didn't know nor see it cuz the gouvernment had more power and control.

  • @SuperSkabby and u need to hear full album for the complete story since its made to be a storyline troughout all the songs

  • @SuperSkabby Suite Sister Mary ....eh?

  • The Ryche wrote about this Wall Street movement 23 years ago and people are just now figuring this out ? how pathetic. It's sad how many people have never even heard of Queensryche. Metalheads included!

  • Queensryche has tought me how far can music quality goes away.

Also how amazing that we have Geoff Tates voice to enjoy.

  • I think pinkywontwork gets his name from the viagra failure he has each night with his "secret" male lover ;-)

Must be small as a pinky too...trust me, male enhancement isn't gonna make it all better.

This site is about music and not how bad gays and true liberals are.

You're not a badass putting down people as a whole.

What if the guy at an ER who saved your life or the lige of someone you loved and was gay?

Only demented poor simpletons think so so small.

    I pity you.

  • occupy the world!!

  • @shafta99 Shut up hippie faggot, lazy, worthless, piece of shit..how about occupying a fucking job you dishrag? Liberal faggot.

  • @PinkyWontWork The way you throw the word 'faggot' around is telling us something about you that I don't think you really want us to know.

  • @Fretslayer Tell you what strawberry shortcake..I've heard this faggot defense a billion times and like I always say a billion times. "If you think I might be a closet faggot..then put your money where your mouth is..come into a room with me and bend over to see which one I do..stick it in or beat you within an 1" of your life". And like always this is where you shut the fuck up and feel like an imbecile. That 3rd grade mind game BS doesn't work on adults bro.

  • @PinkyWontWork Wow! You start off calling me 'Strawberry Shortcake' then 'bro' and you call yourself an adult? Almost as interesting as your knee jerk reactionary hyper defense of your sexuality while at the same time suggesting you' prove what a man you are be beating up on somebody you think is gay. Interesting... 'Faggot, Closet, Come, Me, Bend Over', Stick it in? Methinks though doest protest too much. Thank you for validating my point. Oh, and My what huge Keyboard Muscles you must have.

  • @Fretslayer As I said.."put your money where your mouth is". That 3rd grade tactic doesn't work bro.

  • @PinkyWontWork Put my money where my mouth is? What exactly are you attempting to say? Now as for what you refer to as a 3rd grade tactic.... CLEARLY it did work. So now what? Is this the part where you threaten me from the safety of your couch? Is this the part where you say '...come here and I'll (insert pathetic threat here) to you'' because you're half a world away and this has emboldened you? Because really, it's quite comical. Thanks for entertaining me. Please continue if you can.

  • @Fretslayer lol, got your feelings hurt?

  • @PinkyWontWork LOL! Not in the least.. Having said that I think you should understand how something. Perhaps this will help. - Projection is a defense mechanism that involves taking our own unacceptable qualities or feelings and ascribing them to other people. Projection works by allowing the expression of the desire or impulse, but in a way that the ego cannot recognize, therefore reducing anxiety.

  • @Fretslayer Yes, for liberals and progressives I'm sure that's how it works. I however live in the real world you know? Where violence is a necessity sometimes and it's results are proven. Where the weak die and the strong survive. Where the lazy and uninspired tries to demean the success of the hard worker. You're probably one of those weirdos that believe in women rights and how gender is "uNIMp0rTANTS" because we have to have "eQUalITY" right? In other words you live in never never land.

  • @PinkyWontWork And now you've resorted to argumentum ad-hominem. It's kind of pathetic. Best of luck.

  • @Fretslayer So if I'm pathetic wtf does that make you for wasting your time with a pathetic person? lol

  • @PinkyWontWork Because somebody needs to tell you that going through life misogynistic and homophobic is unhealthy for you. If you take the time to educate yourself regarding these things perhaps you can then begin to address the root cause of your issues. If you do research into why you're homophobic you might have to admit some things to yourself but in the end you'll be a better person for it. I've done all I can for you. The rest is up to you. I hope that answers your query.

  • @Fretslayer Lol, I can tell you very quickly why I'm homophobic. 1. I don't want any faggot, liberal piece of shit forcing their beliefs on me or loved ones. 2. Faggots are fucking disgusting. I have a little trivia for you..you'll love this one. Ever hear of a faggot dying of natural cause? Name just 4..good luck. All die from drugs, alcohol, aids, depression. Ah and I LOVE women. I'm not "mizK0gYnIstiK". You a faggot aren't you? Or someone in your family is.

  • @PinkyWontWork You are one disgusting son of a bitch you know that? It's real easy to call others faggots from miles away aint it? Be thankful you don't live near me or I would beat your ass.

  • @ByTorthePinballWizar Here's my other account on boxing and gym BS. "alexincera" tell me again what you'd do if I "LiVED nEARZ y0U". Let's forget my ability to put one in the black at 1000 yds. and my top 3 finishes last year in IPSC Shooting with 1911s and my 4th place finish in Tactical Competition shooting and my 12 years of doing nothing but perfecting ways to put people down..one left jab and you'd be serving up your mother, sister and gf on a platter for me to stop the torture. Next..

  • @PinkyWontWork Man your fighting skills mean nothing if I can get you while your sleeping. How would it be if you woke up with a knife in your chest?

  • @PinkyWontWork Just saying :)

  • @PinkyWontWork do you think it's more the case that you have a dogey personallity?

  • I remember them touring for this album when it came out and seeing them in concert. Geoff changed the lyrics to reflect the times "A way to pay for wars in Saudi Arabia" (it was during the first Gulf War)

  • @tipigi Why isnt this the top comment?

  • The title of this album always makes me think of the Thought Police from 1984, haha! Anyways, one of the coolest tracks from one of the best rock operas of all time!

  • «religion and sex are powerplays

manipulate the people for the money they pay

    selling skin, selling God

the number look the same on their credit cards»

  • I wish they made a movie of this album, like "the Wall" of Pink Floyd.

  • @emrekok If it were done right it would crush everything. The OM2 tour was kick ass.

  • LOL, I have a Christian banner showing when I play this track.

  • One of the most talented bands of all time!!

So many memories of the 80's and 90's, still sounds as good as ever.

    Takes me back!!

  • Religion and sex are powerplays. Manipulate the people for the money they pay. Selling skin, selling god. The numbers look the same on their credit cards.

  • I came here because I just listened to Hotspot Junkie. I had to get that garbage out of my head

  • @thefek Fuck you! Now I have to go look that song up and see how bad it is. Thanks.

  • What's the disease?

  • nice, dont have to hit play twice :)

  • $25 a fuck and John's a happy man. cool lyric!

  • I listened to this when it was a tape!! Vocally stunning, atmospheric, haunting, melodic, top notch drummer, Queensryche was one of my greatest joys to listen to as a kid. It was a different world then. Musicianship was so respected....

  • I don't mind listening to it twice.

  • Been loving this for so many years it's not even funny.

  • Selling skin, selling God. The numbers look the same on their credit cards...

  • This song has his lowest notes(A1) and one of his highest notes(E5). It's the best example of his vocal range in one song. Empire is another good example, going from G2-D5.

  • @cubby3o5 Actually Empire goes from D2 to D5. My mistake.

  • @cubby3o5 WTF?! I just now found out that Empire is A1 to D5. Stop fuckin' changing it.

  • By far the most powerful song of QR. In context of the whole album the lyrics are breath taking. One could write a book just based on this song. Spinechillingly beautiful!

  • i started listening to quensryche again this album was the good one but ima still listen to iron maiden & slayer & testament

  • more relevant now than then

  • "The rich get richer and poor go to prison" We need the revolution...NOW!

  • "as the banks get fat,and the poor stay poor, and the rich stay rich, and the cops get paid-to look away as the 1% rules AMERICA !"

Even more relevant now then it was in 88.

  • Spreading the disease

    Everybody needs

But no one wants to see

    <3

  • Queensryche is the best!!!

im a girl and i listen to them all the time!

    QUEENSRYCHE FOREVER

  • @meancatmeow That's awesome to hear. It's always nice to meet girls who like good Music. You should also check out the Nazareth albums (Expect No Mercy, No Mean City, Hair of the Dog, Razamanaz.) Love Nazareth and Queensryche both awesome bands.

  • i'm 16, and it's dissapointing the way other kids my age think of people like justin bieber, lady gaga, and katy perry "popular music" when in reality, they don't have even have half an ounce of talent. i liked it better when this kind of music was requested on the radio every hour on every day. they had some awesome music back in the day.

  • @bluedolphin6425 A Sky Lit Drive are good. there's a lot of good music around created by people withing your age group, you just have to look. Music never remains static.

  • @bluedolphin6425 yea man you are right. Music is not real anymore. Its all fake audiotuned with a plastic image. No talent no oginality is left. I cant wait for this current genre to fall apart.

  • @bluedolphin6425 we'll where those people get their popularity is mostly asia and europe and they outnumber the us so we the real people know real talent when we see it

  • @bluedolphin6425 I'm 2 and I hate how everyone my age listens to the wiggles.

  • @bluedolphin6425 Man I feel your pain...Im glad my dad raised me listening to this music

  • This album is amazing , I just love when each song tells a story .

  • Along with Warning, their best albums...Gotta throw in Empire amd Promised Land too... Long live The Ryche!!!!

  • been listening to this song since b4 Desert Storm.

    it still kix ASS!!!!

  • I miss Queensryche :(

  • yo this song is fuckin sick, the chorus actually makes my jizz in my pants a bit more every tiem i hear it

  • one of their best songs imo

  • Best album by them

  • thank you for the upload, the "repeat" is perfect....cause we can enjoy twice! ;-)

  • ESTE ALBUM NÃO É APENAS UM DOS MELHORES DOS ANOS 80´S MAS TAMBÉM O MELHOR DE 1988 DESBANCANDO O ÁLBUM SEVENTH SON DO IRON MAIDEN. PRA QUEM NUNCA OUVIU FALAR EM QUENSRYCHE, FICA ESTA INFORMAÇÃO PRA QUEBRAR A CARA DAQUELES QUE CRITICAM A BANDA.

  • Very nice! This record is certainly a masterpiece! How many cassette tapes did I go through! anybody with me? lol

  • @elbertsnext indeed you are not alone here :-)

  • @elbertsnext im with you great album long time fan.

  • Im struggling with one line, does "He takes her once a week on the altar like a sacrifice." mean the priest is fucking her? So she never really left the Prostitution gig?

  • @pohlerk I don't think she's a prostitute anymore, it's just that the priest is raping her. I could be wrong though.

  • @Tinaruon low self-estreem, brain washing, previous profession...the priest got his way. But he should not have done it cause Nikki thought otherwise :-)

  • @pohlerk nopeee.

  • @pohlerk Dude, rape is not prostitution...

  • i love this song

  • this album was one of the best in the 80's!

  • "Father William saved her from the streets. She drank the lifeblood from the saviours feet. She's Sister Mary now, eyes as cold as ice. He takes her once a week on the alter like a sacrifice." That is a very powerful verse! Great album!

  • Svaka chast Marina :)

  • I LOVE THIS CD! THis is a very good rock opera

  • She always brings me what I need!!!

  • 25 bucks aaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • But has anyone solved the whole Operation Mindcrime mystery of who really killed Mary? The whole album is an epic story. Supposedly there are clues throughout to reveal Mary's real killer. This was one of my favorite albums growing up.

  • @h1ghstrung Yes, around 2004 In "An Evening With Queensrÿche" it was revealed that through mindcontrol (similar to the way Dr.X controlls Nikki) a voice on the phone forced her to kill herself. Nikki then sees her and in a strange daze burns her body. It is not known why. Maybe he thought he really did do it. Maybe he knew he'd get framed and tried to eliminate the evidence. Maybe he was just trying to pay his last respects.

  • @h1ghstrung Believe Dr. X killed Mary, or so I've read on the web. BTW, did you know that Dio voiced Dr. X on Operation Mindcrime?

    RIP...RJD

  • @DiamondDEK Dio voiced dr. X on Operation mindcrime 2

  • been listening to these guys for many years ,seen them live 5 times in san antonio and they rock every time

  • the rest of their material--whatever--but this album is an absolutely brilliant work. Absolute masterpiece conveying such an amazing 1980s underground feel. Makes me wish i was older in the 80s!

  • 1 of the best concept album of all time..right next to Pink Floyd..placed the shit out of this album...and 25 bucks a fuck is damn pretty good price...A.F approved?

  • On occasion I forget how incredible this band lyrics, guitars, rhythmically, and Geoff Tate has such a stunning voice.

  • best 8 minutes I've spent today!

    Thanks!

  • she's sister mary now

  • eyes as cold as ice

  • The shooters..Indeed a mind crimw..

  • MINDCRIME is life in America!

  • MINDCRIME!!!

  • The power from these guys is just awesome!!!!

  • Only ONE thing bad about this...It discribes our world in a clear light =/

Shine on ryche...spreading the word =)

  • When I think Ryche...I think Mindcrime. 5 stars.

  • By far the Best Qeensryque album.

  • @liljalapeno28 very true!!!!

  • @liljalapeno28 I agree!

  • @liljalapeno28 you said it man!

  • cool idea, i allways rewind this song 5-6 times thx man \m/

  • The lyrics of this album are GREAT (and the music too)

  • QUEENSRYCHE 4LIFE

  • KICK ASS.................... IT ROCKKSSS!! Gooooooooooooooo Queensryche!!

  • Hahahahaha ROCK N ROLL Horns up!..!

  • 25 bucks a fuck and john is a happy men, she washed the filth away and is back on the streets agaaaaaaaaiiiiin

  • Does she perhaps go back to "SPREADING THE DISEEEEEEEASEEEEE"?!

  • lol, quite possibly

  • Twice the Rock, Twice the brilliance. Thanks again.

  • odd... I have the cd and my version's song is only 4,5 minutes or something :/....

  • Yeah, that's because the song's only 4 minutes long... for whatever reason this video plays the song twice.

  • That's because even the computer can't get enough of this cd!

  • "Father William save her from the streets!" damn good song grat lyrics!!!!!!!!

  • "Politicians say no to drugs while we can pay for wars in south america!" This whole album is awesome.

  • Saw them live 3 times. Rock City at Notts and Theatre Royal and were awsome. Dono live did not do them justice.

  • My favorite Queensryche song evar!!!

  • Operation Mincrime is a mastepiece. the whole CD is reallly powerful. Queensryche has been one of the most underated bands. I would love to see them live someday. Keep rockin fans

  • @tasteymonkeypudding

I love Queensryche,,,,this album especially. Lightning in a bottle.

I could never figuire out why they could never duplicate anything even remotely close.

As for seeing them live,,,well,,,,a bit of a let down if you ask me.

Kind of like seeing dream theatre live,,,,I wouldn't recomend it.

I've seen Queensrcyhe in concert twice,,,,not at all impressed.

  • @DarkoMarco72

Rofl, James Labrie in Dream theater at live at the marque, I've NEVER seen anything better in my entire life, Queensryche's specialty is in studio, But Dream Theater arn't disappointing live.

  • thanx for the comments, this is my first upload and i somehow managed to put the track on twice, but hey like jfayiii said its not such a bad thing, anyone listened to jerusalem by bruce dickinson , its a must

  • @marina3211 U can put out this track 200 times if U want. I never get tired of a masterpiece that is 22 years old. Thanks for sharing marina.

  • Oh yeah, and also talks about how there is abuse from high ranking church officials! Check yourself american religion are you holier than though? I think not

  • You spelled "thou" wrong...

  • at leat prostitution is illegal in america, in my country ( germany ) its a normal thing there is whorehouses all over the city, its a normal business here they pay there taxes and noone realizes what a sick sick world we live in

  • Prostitution is quite legal in some parts of America.

  • Until people realize how true the lyrics from this CD are, America will continue on this path!! It's time for a change!!

  • Not really...

Religion and prostitution don't have such a big influence on this country.

  • If you look at my comment again you'll see I said "from this CD". If you are fimilar with the lyrics you will know that he blasts corrupt politicians and the compliant media as the real sorce of the problem, hence Revolution Calling. Get with the program kid

  • Woah, blasting politicians and the media. How original.

Don't get me wrong though, the lyrics are awesome, they're just not exactly on the level of the declaration of independance.

  • queensryche is awesome live.. if ya ever go.. must bring chronic

  • haha why'd you make the song play twice? the actual version is only 4:07.

  • marina did it for me, I can't play this song only once per sitting

  • this song has the best lyrics ever for a protest song. its not bullshit like killing in the name.

  • ...junto con i don't believe in love

  • La mejor fucking canción del disco

  • ♫ QUEENSRYCHE ♫

    ♫♫THIS IS SO WICK'D LIVE♫♫

    ♫♫"FAN"TASTIC"♫♫

    Thnkx 4Sharn'

    ~XoX~

  • "you watch the wolrd exploding every single night"

Wicker Man ripping it off ahaha

  • Sounds dangerously close in the vocal melody man.

  • Thats not even in the song...I just looked at the lyrics, your a fucking idiot, it's not even close to the Wicker Man

  • You know what this song is to good Queensryche YOU ROCK I salut u

  • Queensryche............need I say more?

  • When I was in my late teens, I was totally and completely captivated by the message that this concept album conveyed to its audience. To this day, I still hum the tunes to myself at work. Queensryche hit on something big, and I never understood why they were not as popular in america than they are because they fu©kin ROCK! Rock on Queensryche.

  • Somebody lied to you.

  • ya ever hear operation mindcrime 2?

  • Album is awesome, but I think only album in history that sounds better live..Livecrime has the best sound you could ever hope for live!

  • el mejor disco que existe!!!!!!! y creo q uno de los mejores temas tambien!!!

    me vuela la cabeza!

    christianx87@hot..

  • This is the best song/album I have ever heard...got the album from my uncle and fell in love with it...Geoff Tate is the shit and he has no equal!!!

  • bruce dickinson is up there with geoff tate both awesome.

  • @nickeriffic ummm... dio? bruce dickinson? sebastian bach!!!!!!!!!!!!!! jeez... lol

  • @nickeriffic totally f*cking agree!!! This album is awesome, all the songs connect into a story, the only other equal may be 'The Wall' by Floyd, but this speaks more strongly against the state and the church... while I don't believe in revolution, there needs to be a change!!

  • @nickeriffic Geoff Tate is a good singer, but my friend met him, and said he thought he was better than anybody, and anything. like a spoiled brat. =( sadly

  • @bmxdood11, that's too bad that your friend didn't get a good vibe from Geoff Tate. I have met him a few times and he has always been personable and charming. Maybe he was having an off day, like we all do at times. Hope your friend gets another chance with a better experience. RYCHE ON!

  • @lowriderbandfan no like his agent told him to not talk to him unless he talks to him first. but its a great band

  • @bmxdood11 People say shit like that about famous people all the time, usually, as in this case, it ends up being bullshit. Geoff is a good guy. I met him during the tour for this album, just a random fan, and he was cool as shit.

  • @bmxdood11 he is better then everyone though.

  • @LynchSixx1313 yeah, but his client or manager or something told my friend not to speak to him unless he speaks first
