I'm not there yet! I still have 15-20 left to lose. When I hit 50 Lbs lost (5 more lbs) I'll do a progress video, but until then I'm holding off making a video to keep me working hard. Complacency is the ruin of me, so no celebratory video yet.

The rice mix was Near East chicken-flavored rice pilaf. I make it in a pot like it says and then 5 minutes before it's done I throw in a bunch of spinach and mushrooms and let them cook with the rice. Yum!
I use a Canon PowerShot SD1000 - it's just a little point-and-shoot camera that films too. :D The camera is only half the game - the quality of video also has a lot to do with lighting and lenses :P I used the in-camera macro for most of this.
When you see me sitting in the chair I'm just using the iSight camera inside my MacBook Pro ;)

LOL thank you but I don't! Everything I made there took less than 5 minutes, except for the time the rice had to sit in the pot... or the veggie prep, which probably took 6 minutes... ;)
I am super lazy when it comes to food - the easier/faster, the better.
Well maybe not a lot of time on the prep and cooking, but a lot of time to figure out what's in your food and that it adds up to what you need for it to be balanced. Like the fat etc. I don't really pay attention to that stuff. Just calories, and I try to stay organic when I can. You're doing so good!
What? You mean my notebook? That's just my notebook that I use to track my food every day. I'm following Jenny Craig exchanges as my guide to more balanced eating, so I use the boxes to mark off what I've eaten as I eat it.
The rice and mushrooms is SO easy - 1 box Near East chicken-flavored rice pilaf. 5 minutes to finish, mix in a handful of fresh spinach and then throw all your sliced fresh mushrooms on top of the rice and cover again (leave mushrooms on top). Then 2 minutes to the end, mix the mushrooms in with the rice and spinach. Voilà ;)
It's like the easiest meal ever. 3 servings of 220 calories each. Like... no fat. And YUM.

i hve 3 egg whites and 6 baby tomotoes and half an onion that i scramble together... with salt and pepper. how many calories is that? and how much fat?
LOL yeah, I get the calories mainly from calorie-count. com, although all labeled foods have the calories and portions them already, so I use the nutrition labels mostly.
That meal is about 60-70 calories (depending on the size of your onion) and not even 0.5g fat.
Noo :( He is my mom's. Well, years ago when I lived at home and he really was a puppy, he was "mine" but he lives with my mom. I could take him anytime I wanted to, but I travel too much to have a dog.
No, it would have been a gym day but I'm crazy busy this week for a lot of reasons. AGH. Next week my schedule is EMPTY (thank heavens) and I will be able to work out regularly once more.

Starch is like... carbohydrates. Foods that are a "starch" are foods with lots of carbohydrates and very little fat or protein.

carbohydrates can be divided into starch (long chain carbohydrates) and sugar (short chain carbs). So a starch is a "subgroup" of a carb.
Unlike sugar, starch is not sweet ( examples: flours, rice, pasta, breads, potatoes, corn, doughs)

What? You mean my notebook? That's just my notebook that I use to track my food every day. I'm following Jenny Craig exchanges as my guide to more balanced eating, so I use the boxes to mark off what I've eaten as I eat it.

The rice and mushrooms is SO easy - 1 box Near East chicken-flavored rice pilaf. 5 minutes to finish, mix in a handful of fresh spinach and then throw all your sliced fresh mushrooms on top of the rice and cover again (leave mushrooms on top). Then 2 minutes to the end, mix the mushrooms in with the rice and spinach. Voilà ;)
It's like the easiest meal ever. 3 servings of 220 calories each. Like... no fat. And YUM.

I really enjoyed this video. Also I think it is fantastic that you can get organic, fair trade coffee from a drive thru. I'd love it if we had that where I live. Great job and great eating! I'm off to buy some blueberries.

Yeah, here in Seattle... we have heaps of green, natural, organic stuff. Caffe Ladro is one of several local chains that serve only organic coffee :D

can u tell me where u get the calories info from.
i hve 3 egg whites and 6 baby tomotoes and half an onion that i scramble together... with salt and pepper. how many calories is that? and how much fat?

LOL yeah, I get the calories mainly from calorie-count. com, although all labeled foods have the calories and portions them already, so I use the nutrition labels mostly.
That meal is about 60-70 calories (depending on the size of your onion) and not even 0.5g fat.

Noo :( He is my mom's. Well, years ago when I lived at home and he really was a puppy, he was "mine" but he lives with my mom. I could take him anytime I wanted to, but I travel too much to have a dog.

No, it would have been a gym day but I'm crazy busy this week for a lot of reasons. AGH. Next week my schedule is EMPTY (thank heavens) and I will be able to work out regularly once more.

I thought your creative vision with this was way incredible. I'm super curious what program you were using to chat with people on video.
Also super excited to hear someone else saves calories for evening, like I do, I get so sick of people saying not to eat past 8P. Oi. And you put super quantities of veg in your eggs... yay, as do I.
MP3's are encoded and I think YT has a program to scan for specific ones and auto-reject.
