  • TOSTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

  • I don't know why people say HERB with a hard H quite honestly. I think it sounds like a name pronounced that way and it creeps me out.

"Ohhhh HHHHHERB, you're being so naughty!" Blegh.

  • very nice betty. and i'm from jersey and pronounce herb same as u=) but where do i buy texas bread? as i now live in fla.

    thanks,

    keep up the good work

  • Great video!! Thanks for uploading this video.

  • ITS HERB!!!!!! H-E-R-B! NOT ERB YOUR NOT JAMAICAN

  • @cFcIOnFiRe No, but there's this small country north of Jamaica called the U.S., of which I am one, and we pronounce it with a silent "h." In fact, I believe we once fought a revolution to acquire that right (and maybe a few others).

    --Rick (Betty's husband)

  • @cFcIOnFiRe Nice, you know how to say the word Herb, but you don't know the difference between ''YOU"RE'' and ''YOUR''. You really showed us! Is everyone where you come from as smart as you?

  • @cFcIOnFiRe the correct pronunciation is E-R-B my friend. Look it up in a dictionary before u make a fool of urself.

  • ARRGHH ITS HERB!!!!!! H !!

  • looks good!

  • at the end it looks like a "banana" breaking the flaps XD

  • Betty. Do you have to add Texas toast and another thing is,What kind of ham you use?

  • @jkova6 No, you don't have to use Texas toast; just regular bread is fine. I get honey ham from the deli section of my grocery store and have it sliced thinly or shaved.

    --Betty :)

  • Another great one, thanks Betty!

  • @CorieRuth0810 You're welcome! I hope you enjoy it!

    --Betty :)

  • that looks really good except I don't like mayonaise. I might put a tiny bit of mustard instead just so it has some kind of sauce.

  • @xINVISIGOTHx Mustard would be fine--maybe a mild, sweet type.

    --Betty :)

  • Yum! I cannot get Texas toast here in SC. These ppl do NOT know what good bread is here. The bread selection at the grocery store is just terrible. I miss Texas toast. :(

  • @ArchieLovesMe I'm sorry you can't get Texas toast where you live. I did make Texas toast in bettyskitchen after making fresh home baked bread; you might want to try that.

    --Betty :)

  • Add fried egg inside, YUM<3 :)

    --Betty :)

  • what the hell is texas toast? and what's so TEXAS about it???

  • @bayislove It's called Texas toast because the slices are thick. It is typical to think that anything from Texas is big, and these are big pieces of toast.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen Well, thats a good point. Texas is the second biggest state in USA. LOL

  • @bayislove Everything is bigger down here in the lone star state (including bread).

  • @RubenRedd including the residents. A texas toast is a double thickness sliced bread, explains why texans are also double thickness normal people. lmao

  • @AyokiKusano I smell a troll

  • @RubenRedd I smell bacon. I think it's U!

  • that is one thick ham! ok, now i'm starving. :) gonna try this soon. thanks for the recipe. :)

    --Betty :)

  • I tried just same thing, just with cheaper bread, ham and cheese, and damn had none of that kind of mayo it was still good

  • @shthd84 Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it!

    --Betty :)

  • Yum! I'd eat both of those halves of sandwiches in a New York minute. I liked the idea you presented of grilling the "insides" of the bread slices as well as the use of herb mayonnaise. Those in your household are certainly lucky to be associated with such a good cook! Thanks for the instructions and the recipe.

  • @boxpump Thanks for your nice comment! I really appreciate it!

  • nice :)

  • do you need the herb mayo or can you just leave it without the mayo?

  • love the bread ur using.. n thanx 4 sharing..u rock

  • Betty your sandwiches look delicious! i like the videos

i think i might have to subscribe

  • Betty you are adorable and have such great recipes !! Keep up the good work

  • When you grill the bread the first time you should have the ham grilling as well. Then you should pull the bread and quickly apply the mayo and second butter application along with putting the cheese on. (Make sure you watch the ham as well so it does not burn!) Then you should pull the ham and apply it to the sandwich last before completing the final grilling step. This will add more flavor and help the cheese melt. Looks really good im gonna make one now mmmmm!

  • i'm starving! lol :P

  • betty could you please post a recipe for peach jam and peach cobbler? thank you so much

  • Delicious!!!!!!!! I would add some grated onion too!

  • Yummy Betty!!! I agree that sometimes we need to throw a little caution to the wind and have some wonderful tasting delight...even if we indulge a bit! Thank you for the marvelous tips here. I have never used the Texas Toast, nor have I grilled the "inside". Can't wait until tomorrow to do this!

  • Texas toast is best! But the ham is surely still cold inside unless Betty heated it before hand... The cheese would melt way before the ham gets hot...

  • Thank you! Very informative and looks good!

-Ann(Also nice to know how to make texas toast)

  • Looks delicious, I've never tried the Texas Toast, but it looks great - thanks!
