Who IS this guy? I want to see him on the ground... if he ever gives anyone a chance to take it to the ground. I trained TKD before joining the Marine Corps and have now been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Not much of my TKD training would have helped once it got to the ground against a good BJJ opponent.

Still, that kick is an absolute work of art. Much respect.

If he had his hands up guarding his face and chin he would have survived that tornado kick, but his hands were down. The first movement of tornado kick ( the spin) is simply ment to distract or confused the opponent they have no idea what comes next.

Taekwondo isn't just kicking, it covers everything like kicks, punches, throws, joint-locks, sweeps, take-downs, and etc. Most people are fooled because of the WTF Taekwondo influence, it among the Taekwondo practitioners. I'm not saying that Taekwondo is weak or the strongest martial art in the world but it is among one of the most popular. I honestly think that Taekwondo is effective anywhere including in the streets. :) Thank you for choosing Taekwondo

@Ascenscion123 Yes. And to tell you the truth I'm also confused with fighting stance, it's either L-stance or walking stance but im not really sure. ITF Taekwondo is like kickboxing because we use our hands to attack unlike the other Taekwondo organization (specifically WTF organization).

@ngayonnaba ive been doing taekwondo itf for about 3 years now im now a green belt blue tag, and that kick was a tornado kick also known as a jump spinning turning kick, the stance used was proberly l stance with a stepping motion to start the spin which would give the lift and momentum and power for the kick.

@Ascenscion123 jab cross hook was the first combo my ITF instructor taught me, then he showed me spin backfist, ridgehand and palm strike. so yes ITF TKD practices alot of hand techniques
