Amazing history there, too bad there are those stealing artifacts from other undisclosed locations. I visited New Mexico and family there just this past September 2011, very beautifu area and wished I lived out there.
I was here in the summer of 1962. It was all dirt roads. I saw a snake in the river. The way in was military 4wd. I was 12. Met a girl from Texas. "Texas Critter" I called her
Beautiful video. Wonderful New Mexico. My wife and I visited the Gila Cliff Dwellings in april 2008. Proud to walk in the footsteps of the ancient people. Also many thanks to the Rangers Staff who were very helpful with us and as we are aged, accompanied us back to the parkingplace so that we arrived safe at our car.
thx 4 the video, i love the american Southwest, and the history, and how much mystery is still out there. Been out that way bout 4 times, dads a trucker, but never got to visit :(

After the fire of 2011 this place will be more awesome. There is another dwelling site further back if you have a knowledgeable guide.

My Dad took me here last summer, as well as to a Ghost Town called Mogollon, you should visit it!

Cool! Just too bad I moved away from Arizona. Who knows if I'll ever get the chance to visit that area again.

It sounds like you had a fun adventure.
The trail leading up-to and away-from the dwellings is rocky and a little steep in some places.
But I'm happy to hear the staff there was helpful and accommodating to you and your wife.
Thanks for your nice comment:^)

It is very good of you to take the time to make this video. This is the only way most people will ever see this.
