  • Absolutely, the mind rules and is KEY in healing and restoring. Big believer! Great message Lisa...

  • @TexasMom17 Deb....if you can survive your baby getting married.....you will make it through almost anything! LOL

  • @AskNurseLisa True dat. But, on second thought, if I survive their living here the next year...then I KNOW I can...lol

  • Thanks fir sharing these stories, Lisa! I had heard about the Mark Bros. story, but not the five bullets in the brain...

  • @phekwig The story of Mr. Cousins and his fight for his life is a famous one. I still recommend reading up on him as there was so much to his life...

The story of his battle with heart disease is also notable...

  • This is a truly amazing video Lisa!! Having a postitive attitude and spirit, is one of the most essential things everyone needs to be able to make it in life, and it can make a huge difference in the way you look at things.

    Very great video!

  • I'm constantly monitoring my attitude. Not perfect but I working in the right direction and aware.

  • @oldvision I am so glad to hear that. I am doing the same thing too. These days, crazy stuff is getting thrown my way.....so every day is a new challenge to keep my head on my shoulders and fulfill my New Year's resolution to have some FUN this year....!!!!!!!!

  • One of my strengths is problem solving. It's a big part of my livelyhood. I can honestly say that most, if not all the problems I've worked with, would not have been solved without a healthy dose of positive thinking. The down side is that I interface with a lot of negative thinking problem creators. It's very discouraging. I have to take steps to insulate myself from them. I hope you had a good Easter.

  • @EdElisea WOW Ed...what a way to put it....people who actually CREATE problems with their negative thinking....I am dealing with a few people like that as well these days....it is not fun...

A huge number of problems are caused this way....

  • Find what makes you laugh and get as much of it as you can. You can never laugh too much in this world.

Thanks, Lisa. I hope your Easter was beautiful.

  • I hope you had a wonderfull Easter! Another great video, and very true! Thank you so much! Your a special lady! :-)

  • A truly amazing story, thanks for sharing:-)

  • I have always stayed positive by playing games with the nurses. Maybe you have played it? I call it find the patient. I hide somewhere in the hospital when ever they try to give me a shot. And then they search for me. Very fun.

  • amen! now...is there a happy thinking pill? ;-)

  • @hallbe No.....I suggest watching middle aged while guys rap on the internet.

That is ALWAYS good for a laugh...and a smile....:)

You can meet friends that way, too..:)

  • Great message! :)

I know I'm not wired to be positive, but I have tried to change my thinking around. It's helped. I was supposed to be in the hospital for a week after my angio plasty and I was out in 4 days and drove the hour and half to my apartment. Started walking the next day. :)

If I can be positive anyone can.

  • This was a tough video to ignore in any way. You had me stuck to the screen. You really told it like it is. Great Job. I mean that, watched all the way through. I'm a fan Lisa.

  • I agree Lisa. I really do think that the power of positive thinking can do more good than almost anything we do outside of medicine. Thanks for these videos! -Jim
