@Raul79mty It is the vig from the fisheye lens. I have the 58mm for my vx1000 and it barely has any vig, it deends on the camera or the lens i dont remember haha.
i think I like this lens better then the Opteka "vortex" .2 cause it seems that more of the shot is in focus just likes cleaner when the rider goes from one side of the lens to the other .
@33hasson Opteka .3x are pretty much copies of Century Optics Mark 2, not the mark 1, but as you said, they're pretty much the same, except for glass durability and the fact that MK2's are bayo while only opteka GL1/gl2s are bayo while the rest are screw. Century MK1 > MK2/Opteka
@LakiaSkater1994 its because you took the ring off, so you've probably just jamed the fisheye onto your camera at an angle i think, so if you still have it then put the step up ring back on and if that doesn't work then maybe your ring or possibly the fisheye itsself is too big/small
I NEED HELP!!! i got this fisheye but wen i put it on my camera the black rim from the edge of the fisheye is only on the left and not the right idk how to adjust that on my camera and i removed the ring thingy on the fisheye.
@zerotabbz Dude, go to amazon, type in your thread size (37mm) or whatever your rig is, then fisheye lens. Opteka has one for your rig, I'm sure. I'm buying the 37mm one in one week for sure.
Oh, and I have the HDR-CX12 (37mm), so I know it will work for sure. Did you buy the telephoto and wide angled lens for your Sony? I did, and they work great (well worth the extra $400)
HOW DO YOU GET THE BLACK AREAS ON THE CORNER?! I HAVE THE SAME EXACT FISHEYE BUT WITH A CANON HFS20. DO YOU TAKE OFF THE SPACER RING? BECAUSE I REALLY LIKE IT WHEN THERE ARE SOME BLACK AREAS ON THE CORNERS INSTEAD OF JUST A ROUND FISHEYE EFFECT.
HOW DO YOU GET THOSE BLACK SPOTS ON THE CORNERS?!?!?!?! I HAVE THE OPTEKA 58MM FISHEYE ON A CANON HFS20 BUT THE FISHEYE EFFECT IS JUST ROUND. DO YOU TAKE OFF THE SPACER RING OR WHAT? HOW DO YOUR GET THOSE BLACK SPOTS?!
@mathewrolls Try opteka's website, they have something you can attach to a digital camera like a nikon cool pix what will let you screw this bad boy on (aswell as other lens or filters)
one of the good, really good things with such a wide lens is if your following them you dont have to look where your going, you can see it along with who your videoing
i bought a death lens titanium series off ebay for 115!!! bidding BUT i was soo hyped i didnt realize it didnt tell me the size of the lens so it could be anywhere from 52mm, 58mm, 62mm & 72mm and my handy cam is only 25mm BUT if its either 52 mm or 58 mm i can buy a step up ring but if its 62 or 72 im gonna have to sell it for more....
@jablowm3 Most people, including myself can't afford Century's "quality" and besides Opteka makes handles, lights, dolly's, batteries and a lot of other stuff to help broke filmers out.
@jablowm3 To me, Opteka is just better value. Not that Century doesn't have better products. It's like Opteka has the product for 1/2 to 1/3 the price at 3/4 to 4/5 the quality it's more expensive Century Schneider doppleganger.
@Austhesauce I understand that, but the reason they are so expensive is because its top of the line product. So yes they are going to be priced pretty god damn high. But if your lookin for a lens and not really feeling like getting top notch quality, than get opteka. But im just saying that Century winns 99.99% of the time
Opteka HD² 0.20X Professional Super AF Fisheye Lens for Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT, XTi, XS, XSi, T1i, T2i, 1D, 5D, 7D, 10D, 20D, 30D, 40D, 50D, 60D Digital SLR Camera
@hashytaka fisheye lenses help when filming skateboarding. the thing that makes them great is that when your filming with one, you don't cut off the person's head or arms like you would with out one. so you get a full shot of the person skating . and the reason why they cost alot is... they are badass. but you can buy a cheaper one for like 20-30 dollars. but your not gonna have as much wideness as a 100-300 dollar lens would.

i have the opteka platinum series ultra fisheye and when i put it on my camera, the edges around the picture are not like these, they are crooked and not circular, how do i make it like this?
also one the video it looks like the fheye is shaking when i move it . this doesnt happen in real life only on the playback and when im recording on the screen it happens but its not actually shaking, How do i stop this?
i have the opteka platinum series and i have to use the 30.5 adapter ring and when i screw it on all the way it doesnt show up with perfect corners and on the video the fisheye looks like its shaking whenever i turn the camera. how do u stop it from looking like it shakes.
ive got a panasonic HMC-150 too and on my camera the fisheye wont fit on without a spacer ring. is there anyway around this because the spacer ring just gives way too much vig? ive just zoomed passed it for the passed 6 months but the edge of the vig is a little blurry
i just got this same fish eye today, and when i put it on my camera, the edges around the picture are not like these, they are crooked and not circular, how do i make it like this?
if i used a step up ring from 52 to 72 would there be alot of vig from the 72 just wondering cuz im buying a lens from opteka.com and wanted to know if i should just stick with the 52 or if this will work
difference between 43mm baby death, 58mm, and 62mm, and 72mm please respond looking to buy soon ^.^ also which one are you using and whats the difference between all of them if there is any and what does the .3x .35x etc is that how you tell how wide of a range it has? sorry thanks :)
@Opteka so baby deth lens are opteka tit and plat series? i need a eye for my vx, but if the opteka plat says 52mm, its talking about the mount size right?
@Opteka my friend says century optics makes way better fisheyes then you guys... please inform me on your opinion on there fisheyes... and im planning on buying a 72mm death lens for my dvx but i dont know which company to choose from! please help
@redmage132 the 37mm...43mm etc is the size of the threads...the difference between 3x and .35x is themagnification...(for skateboarding a .3x would be better)
that was some good skating... you guys should make a movie

if i got this lens but the 58mm version would it fit on my Canon Rebel T2i with kit lens? someone please answer
TerraceSk8er97 3 weeks ago
@TerraceSk8er97 No.
A canon rebel t2i needs lenses that are made for dslr's
I.E: canon ef mount lenses. Or any other company mount with adapter.
If you put the 58mm on top of the uv threads than it will have trouble focusing and itll look pretty mad.

@redmage132 -
Platinum series = 37mm & 43mm.
Titanium series = 52mm, 58mm, 62mm & 72mm
The 0.3x is the magnification of the lens.
E.g. If your current lens is 18mm, with the 0.3x attached, it will turn into a 5.4mm

@FTRFB
century is the og
opteka titanium .3x is the same as century mark 2
unless you get a mk1

@redmage132 the 37mm...43mm etc is the size of the threads...the difference between 3x and .35x is themagnification...(for skateboarding a .3x would be better)
