It is to do with gravity. Its caused by the turning of the earth. Certain points and roads etc that are facing in the exact direction of the earths rotation and the hill slopes slightly downward in the same direction as the earth turns then an object will draw slowly up the hill as the earth turns beneath it. Actually I just made that shit up but it sounds good LMAO
Heard of this, but maybe do or get a vid that isn't using a car? Like just put a football or something like that on the road, something less easy to fake.
We have one in the hills in Anchorage Alaska called gravity hill. They one thing I could come up with was that it´s an uphill part of a bigger downhill slope so it looks uphill but it´s actually downhill. Think of a ramp on a hill. You start off slow and then build up speed.
I'm from / spent much time in places with tons of mountains, and driven many roads with undulating rises and falls; I've never in my life seen or felt an uphill section of a largely downhill area that looked like it was actually going downhill. If it was just that, then there's roads like that all over the place, anywhere that has hills and mountains has roads like that.
It´s a special set of circumstances. Look at other vids of this. It´s in Mexico, Canada, Ireland, England, Thailand, California, Guatemala. It´s pretty common, and that´s just where people notice it. Notice in all of them it´s pretty ambiguous whether it´s uphill or not. The way it works is it starts at a very slight downhill and then picks up enough momentum to go up a slight uphill. Notice it´s NEVER a definitively uphill slope the whole way. And yes, it works with a ball.
As I replied to a same post elsewhere yesterday - I've driven and gone all around many mountainous and hilly areas, and I've never heard or experienced an uphill part of a largely downhill area that could possibly be mistaken for actually being a downhill gradient. You'd have to be mad to mistake uphill for downhill, doesn't matter if it's on an undulating rising and falling road.
@oalemdemadrid Your theory is completely wrong. Its a purely up hill slope which creatres and opitcal illusion of a down hill slope. the way the trees are set. Maybe you should joke The one how they did a peace about this. Or doctor karls podcas on the bbc 5 website
There's a place in Mexico in the State of Jalisco where we see the same thing. It's not an optical illusion, it's because of some magnetic phenomenon.
Actually it's not pf magnetic nature - but a gravitational abnormality - probably because a huge meteorite is somewhere deep and distorts the earth's field there. we have one like that in Orhei, Moldova.
Weak nuclear, strong nuclear, gravity, and electromagnetic are all part of the same thing. It's kind of like: if you were in the void and your consciousness manifested an atomic unit, all those forces would result out of the manifestation and would describe what the matter actually is as well as maintain its integrity.

@sheltv100: this hill is on the way from Chiang Mai to Mae Sot (Burmese border): half way there is a small sign 'magic hill' :-)
