See, here's what I don't get. Most Jews, both in and outside of Israel, are not "observant", or at least not properly so as to Orthodox Jewish standards. As such, I don't get the moral superiority. Frankly, if I were to believe the Biblical accounts, the Israelites were kicked OUT of the "Holy Land" for LESS "infamy" (by Biblical standards) in times past. Israel may favor people "born Jews", but it really doesn't strike me as a state too interested in "practicing Jews."

That is perfectly fine with me. I as a Cohen agree that the Khazar Cohen theory is wrong. When one goes up, one must be careful not to go to the areas where one is not allowed to be tamei meis. I myself have gone up many times...
