Frequently Asked Questions Growing Lychee Trees

I started a tree from seedling and it is now about 8ft tall and 6ft wide. It's about 8yrs old. How long more did I need ti wait before it starts to fruit? I've heard numerous ways on how to force a tree to flower and fruit. 1-cut a shallow line into the branches and 2-fertilize with 16-16-16 to force it to flower. Which one is true?

about how tall will a lychee plant grow each year?

my lychee plant grew 4 and a half inches in a year in sf.
