  • awesome yes we're good now thanks looking forward to mastering this with your assistance maestro!

  • I'm a drummer believe me I know 16th v 1/4 note notation! I think my confusion is over what PART in bar 38 I'm supposed to be looking at? I guess naturally I went to the bottom (part IV). Perhaps that's my mistake?

  • @malabarspyder A drummer? Very cool..!

I get Q's from players of all levels so I was not sure if I needed to write out note values for you or not! :D

Ok I see where the confusion was, yes you were looking at the bass lines - sorry about any miscommunication, I was not really sure what you meant but now it is clear.

    Problem solved I trust?

  • All we are doing here in these lessons is concentrating on the 1st Violin (guitar in this case) part.

Although in the "part 1" lesson I cover the bass lines and guitar chords with a bit of fundamental theory.

  • DOH- I shoulda watched it all before I asked. I'm gonna do some homework on that Axon thanks for the tip.

Awesome lesson dude. I really like the video overlays and your pace is pretty good for me. I guess some of the instruction vs the guide confused me. Like at 2:47 it says "the last grouping in bar 38 of 16th notes.." but I look at bar 38 and it seems to end in 1/4 notes? Proably i'm just confused about something.

Rock on D I'm all earz.. Thanks for putting this here it's very helpful.

  • @malabarspyder

Nice, glad to see you doing some investigative homework with the PDF workbook! :D

re:the last grouping in bar 38 of 16th notes"

Yes, the pickup notes are sixteenth notes - if you look carefully you will see 2 beams which does in-fact denote sixteenth's.

    1 beam = eighth notes

    2 beams = sixteenth notes

    3 beams = 32'nd notes

  • Hey D

I signed up thanks I love this as a neo-classical beginner piece. What is that rack effect behind you with the scrolling marquee looks wild!

As noted around 1:50 I discuss the gear and what you are asking about is the Peterson Tuner StroboRack...
