That nurse is VERY bosomy; it you like big ones, England supposedly has the biggest boobs of any European country; I was surprised to see this. Additionally Italy ranked rather low on the list; this was a surprise!
I wish that they showed me this film in school. It would have prepared me better for the real world. Instead you have the usual, submissive brainwashing going on. Turning you into a good citizen, incapable of thinking for yourself. This film was like a guideline for life and all of the misconceptions along the way.
Luckily Travis (McDowell) has calmed down moments after this enough to complain about his suit being ruined by the poor driving of a van full of hippies.
I'm another one who last saw this 30 years ago,and it still freaks me out. This and the Hammer house of horror films still scared more poo out of me than any modern cgi splatterfest.
woah......that scene will remain in my mind for a while, it is seriously disturbing........ then you've got to think, what if mick was fast asleep and hadn't heard the doctor talking, what if it was......to late! its left me not feeling right. films back then were so original and wonderfully weird
I remember seeing this film about 30 years ago when I was at school, and I remember this strange bit with the "experiment" well. I can't quite remember how it fits in with the rest of the film though! This film was shown as part of a class at school, English Class I think!
is it too wierd to say that this honestly scared me? O_o it was the scariest thing, or idea rather, that ive seen since the dog-man in the old Body Snatchers
I saw this when i was about 7 years old in 1978 my mum used to let me stay up way too late and see films that scared the shit out of me! this clip stands out because it really scared me I was watching and remember the bedclothes being pulled back and malcom's scream but i nearly freaked, when i saw he had a sheeps body i had nightmares for a few nights! as a kid you get proper horror because you don't see the joins or the dodgy special effects! it ls still a little disturbing now and I am 38
yes, i remember being terrified watching Psycho. not so much the shower scene because I was expecting it but the bit whewre they turn round the old lady's skeleton in the cellar...
Marccas10 - I too watched this film when I was young. My auntie let me stay up late. That scene has remained with me like a scar. Kids are so impressionable. I'm 40 now and I still consider it one of the most horrible scenes I've ever seen. It would have been around 1978 when I saw it. Maybe the same screening!
This scene shocked me more than anything I've ever seen on tv before or since. I was about 15 when I watched it and it almost made me vomit. I've never been able to watch it since.
McDowell sure loves jumping out of Windows.. :P
