wrong. In my line of work, i have seen Avast pick up and detect way more viruses and malware than avg can think of. Avast essentially turns pcs around. The last one i worked on, the gal had AVG on the thing. slow as hell, Took it off, Threw Avast on it and within twenty minutes of scanning her 500gb hard disk picked up around 50 or so that avg didn't even detect. So, no your hypothesis is wrong.
