Stock internals on the motor can handle a beating. The 5vz v6 and other tacoma motors of that generation were very stout. That truck just has a blower and nos, dont act like it has HUGE mods...

my parents had a 5 sp 92 cb7, i loved it but sold it to my uncle who destroyed it...welll i hate civics!! so annoying looking and sound like shit, i hate all b series motors. i only like the H and Fseries, the cb7 is my fav because its a sedan! you can have a fast cb and have room in the back for a family...most ppl build their hatches and when they have children they end up selling them for a "family car" and what better family car is to begin with? a CB7 now i got a 99 accord 5speed

@ComaJoe I think he meant the truck was built into a drag truck and the gtr was stock. Gtr was built for track and its hp figures were based around how fast they can make it go before it will kill itself. As the truck was built for lets make it go fast in a straight line since we don't care about turning. So yes, make the gtr into a drag car and it would've killed the tacoma.
Not true. People can get lucky on a investment or just make enough money to make the payments on a GT-R. That doesn't means they can aford to drop the extra money to replace a tranny in it a couple months after they buy it because they decided to drag race built tacomas w/ slicks!
if they have to replace the tranny just from drag racing it then it's a pos...i drag my stock 98 Taco all the time and still have the orignal tranny as well as everything else minus spark plugs and wires
