That is fine, as long as one realizes that while that may suit his situation, for others it is not wrong to receive compensation for preaching the gospel :) Some may be in a position to do that, while others may not be. God is so good to make provisions for those in need!

Actually, the trinity *is* Jehovah God :) You are correct in saying it is not all one person, but not that it is three separate things; it is one *God* who eternally exists as three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Another way to put it: God is one in essence & three in person.

'Essence' is another way of saying 'being' or 'what you are'. 'Person' is usually where people get confused. The CARM website gives a nice explanation: "By "person" is meant the characteristics of self awareness, speech, having a will, emotions, etc. Therefore, there are 3 persons. The Father is not the same person as the Son; the Son is not the same person as the Holy Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is not the same person as Father as each of them have a will and speak to each other and to people.

Just because the word "trinity" does not appear in the Bible does not mean that Jesus is not called God. People pray and worship Jesus in the Bible, he is called God, baptism and salvation is through Jesus and in the name of Jesus. Look up John 1:1 in MANY different Bibles. Also check out colossians chapter 1 verse 15 He ( Jesus ) is the image of the invisible god firstborn of all creation. All through out Pauls letters Paul calls jesus the firstborn. I just counted my Bibles and I have 16 different ones, many of them antique, but I only looked in four of them for the posting. And The Watchtower Bible is the only one that does not use the word worship in regards to Jesus. I'll check the other Bibles I have to see if they say "obeisance" instead of "worship"..

I grew up around JW's I have been to assemblies &meetings and read the yellow book and the red book and countless others for years.. That is right the OLDEST transcripts of the New Testament do not have God's name. The Watch Tower has inserted the name of God and left it out in the New Testament deliberately to fit their doctrines..do you want some examples??

The New World Translation changes the Greek word for "worship" to obeisance whenever that Greek spelling is written in relation to Jesus; but they leave it as meaning "worship" when referring to Jehovah..if they translated it correctly they would have to change their beliefs.. Revelation 22:18-19 warns against adding and taking away from scripture.

Take a look at The Watchtower's New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures and look at the Greek spelling for worship when it is in reference to Jesus and then in reference to Jehovah and you will see the same spelling for both but The Watchtower changes it to obeisance whenever it is in reference to Jesus. Look it up if you think the JW Bible is credible.

Is the JW Gospel "GOOD NEWS"? Consider this: A JW must study WT mags, attend 5 mtg/week, preach door-to-door being faithful to the end of their lives and even after Armageddon, they don't have assurance of eternal life. They must continue to work, cleaning up the bloody earth after Armageddon, continue preaching 1000yrs, not making a major mistake to lose salvation. Then after 1000-yrs, they will have to pass a TEST by SATAN before they will be saved. Does this sound like "good news" to you?

JWinCT: Must correct you there. It was not God that gave you that name, you took the name from Isayah 43:10, a very selfish act if I might say so. If you read the entire verse, you know that there are no gods before God, and no gods after god, so then Christ cant be a god, but must be God. Also suggest checking the strongest concordance, and look at John 1:1 and Genesis 1:1.

The lady speaking, is doing a wonderful job! First now I see, the importance of reading the Bible. Imagine this, that JW is actualy studying the Revelations, but fail to understand. Now, I have some questions, due to the present development, from the Vatican, and the ultimatum regarding the sabbath, it is prudent to investigate the Royal Law, that will last forever, (psalms 111.) Do you have any thoughts on the subject? As the understanding, will be paramount.
