speedychristian to tahat's real dumb gameplay is not that good it's not nearly as good as live the moves are too robotic it looks smooth in videos but i have live and i was borrowing 2k for 360, i can agree on music but commentary continuously pauses for large amounts of time 2k they actually react to what happens in the game like an exciting or big dunk they yell and they crack jokes on april fools when internet is in also you miss wide open layups and especially DUNKS!!

2k is like playing with blocks, Live players are more flexible. Why didnt they make it like real NBA games were nobody plays defense. College is so much better it's not even funny. If 2k is better Live is catching up quickly so far the reviews out on IGN are Live 8.2 and 2K 8.5 so Live has closed the gap.

I have played both demos and I've being buying 2k since 2k7 but the Live Demo just felt better forget how they looked they gameplay on Live has definitely improved. With that said I still dont know which one to pick up yet lol.

Yeah 2K is a "good" game, not great. Like TheSniper said, when 2K began catering to its casual/arcade audience rather than its sim players (who now must spend countless trail and error hours tweaking sliders.) the series took a dive. Seriously, anybody who lives basketball knows you gotta play D and you don't make the majority of your shots. But hey, at least 2K looks good.

What level the demo was on is unimportant. You can easily shoot 80% from the field on Hall Of Fame difficulty level. I did it NUMEROUS times in 2K9...NUMEROUS. I scored 50+ with 80-something percent shooting with Allen Iverson against the LA Lakers! Like I said, it looks and feels really good because of the signature styles. After watching Kobe play, 2K let's you feel like you're actually him...However, it IS just a big dunk-fest. You don't even have to consider shooting from 3-point land.
