I'm trying to be fair, but I still find the original Exorcist to be a powerful, frightening and well acted film. Even if your not a Christian, and simply view the possessing force as a Lovecraftian horror or alien being, it still works. Unfortunatly, "Seytan" shows under bright lights what "Exorcist" hinted at with shadows. The acting seems better suited to a Soap Opera then a horror film, and the possessed little girl is more funny/obnoxious than frightening.
