Timmy has referred to himself as both. If a mixed Jew views himself as Jewish in any way, he is not White. Jews are a different ethnic group than European groups, they're not part of European groups so long as they have a separate identity, sense of history and even subculture. The entire concept of White privilege is based on the notion of oppression and domination by the dominant ethnic group against minorities, perpetuating systematic discrimination. Euro-Americans did have overt and institutional discrimination against Jews in the early 20th century, so for all practical matters, Jews are a victimized minority group that is separate from Whites. Jews never assimilated into European or White society, that's the sole reason they still exist as such.

At my college, we had these 2 female speakers talk to us about date rape. They said if a man and woman are both drunk and have sex, that is rape, and is always the man's fault. For a half-Jew to be aware of his Jewish ancestry is for him not to be White. The original idea was that Tim Wise isn't White. I would maintain that he is not White, and does not consider himself White in the sense of "European". He considers himself White in the census sense, that's it. He considers himself Jewish in private.

@HerraYar But if a half-Jew, half-White, conscious of his Jewishness, actively promoted white causes and/or did not promote Jewish causes, why would he not be considered white, nay even half-white? If ethnic solidarity is the issue, then even full Jews would qualify as ethnically white in your sense so long as they did not promote Jewish causes and/or promoted white causes. Seems like your only problem with Judaism is as an organization, a cultural center, not with the people themselves, no?

@45means45 Oh I agree. Jews have played a heavily disproportionate role in the destruction of white culture and civilization and that should be obvious to anyone. The problem is when people claim that Jews have no genetic ancestry, or even cultural ancestry (to some extent), with white Europeans. From what I've read, it is clear that this isn't the case.

The entire concept of White privilege is based on the notion of oppression and domination by the dominant ethnic group against minorities, perpetuating systematic discrimination. Euro-Americans did have overt and institutional discrimination against Jews in the early 20th century, so for all practical matters, Jews are a victimized minority group that is separate from Whites. Jews never assimilated into European or White society, that's the sole reason they still exist as such.

At my college, we had these 2 female speakers talk to us about date rape. They said if a man and woman are both drunk and have sex, that is rape, and is always the man's fault. I asked her what she thought of the same scenario, only with 2 lesbians. Who would be the rapist then? She didn't give an answer and quickly changed the subject. These types of people are nuts, and I have no clue how they have gained so much of a prescence on college campuses.

@InTheEndIWasRight Even more interesting was the fact that my western civilization source book was coauthored by prof peden, a friend of Rothbard our mod-con class [which the honors college at my school teaches in a way very complementary with the Western Civ class] subjects us to a fairly large spectrum of ideas, and at the beginning of the Semester our professor explained that we weren't obligated to agree with any of the thinkers we read, only to understand what they are thinking.

Well I hear it in college every few weeks to a few months and when I flew to North Carolina this January I sat next to a lady that worked as a college administrator where she said making people aware of white privilege was one of the things she did. I have also noticed it more on youtube, but I don't have anything to conclusively show that overall it is increasing.

What is being described on here only affects people that have wealth that can be looted so that others can be enriched. I know someone in high school who has been taught that "genetics don't matter" and that racism is a hereditary trait of the white race. (I didn't ask, but she has also probably been told that "race doesn't exist" by the same teachers)

@blackacidlizzard I agree that "genetics don't matter" in the sense that all races are to be treated equal, and that I don't think that the kind of racist science that focuses on different races' IQ's and stuff like that brings anything good with it, at least I have a hard time believing it. I believe we are a human species rather than a human race, and there's a lot of different races within, but also that we are all different rather than unequal.
