  • Go Bob Go!! I met him last Christmas at the Welk Theater in Escondido. It was the thrill of a lifetime.

  • @MrDasher01 you met Bob ralston

  • @doubletrouble467 Yes. We sat through the show and the whole time we were wondering if it was him. After the show, I introduced myself and sure enough it was Bob. He was very gracious and kind. He still tours a little, mainly in California, and he performs small concerts at his home. Always will be a fan. Go Bob!!!

  • @MrDasher01 that cool

  • YOUNG BOB RALSTON!

  • i really dig that bridge. and everyone - - the dancing audience members, the musicians, lawrence - - looks like they're having a good time.

  • god, depressing!

  • @pippilina

    go elsewhere

  • @pippilina We're sorry! You must've confused us with people who give a d@mn about your pathetic opinion!

  • It's a Vox Electric Harpsichord, which was popular back in the day. And gotta love Buddy Merrill and Neil Lavang, the baddest guitar duo on TV!

  • Back then many songs used the harpsichord in the 1960.

  • This is great, though I must confess, when I read "Family Affair', I was thinking of the Sly & Family Stone soul/r&b song of the same name, and was wondering how in hell Welk and his Orchestra was going to pull that off! LOL

  • Did The Lawrence Welk Orchestra originally record, do or have "The Family Affair & My Three Sons Themes"?

  • a 50s strat with a gold anodised pickguard ... for real.. great film.

  • why do such a great jazz musicians like b. havens play this kind of music ? well... money talks.. hahha

  • I always thought that was a harmonica they used (which was a big shock, as I've never known a harmonica to be part of the Welk Orchestra). Thank you for posting this.

  • what the heck is that electric harpsichord piano thing

  • sweet name.. flaflaflohay!

    tatatoothy
