For me, Melinda Doolittle was different to any other contestant that has so far appeared on American Idol. Not only does she have a Sweet Voice and Magical Delivery... she is the "Finished" Pro. All others have had Potential only.

And whilst most are finding it difficult to live up to that potential, I feel, like a good wine, Melinda is going to mature even more as time goes by...!!

American Idol is just going down hill.. The last AI I saw where the contestent won and deserved it was Carrie Underwood, 2005? sheesh.. Last year was the senior citizen vote for Taylor Hicks.. I'm right with you. Carrie was amazing and still humbled by her experience. Last year was a total joke, should have gone to Dougherty. And the last straw was having Melinda voted off. Can you imagine how amazing she would have sounded singing "This Is My Now". America got it wrong, wrong, wrong and it was obvious by Simon's reaction.

Well did you know that Taylor Hicks is not doing well? his cd's are not really selling much. On a show he did of 1000 people only about 450 showed up now don't quote me on this,this is what was said on the news. I know Hicks isn't doing well.. I had done alittle research on Taylor Hicks fan base and the majority of them were baby boomers. People middle aged and ya know the younger generation buy cd's, not many older do.. Yeah, they all wanted the croony to win but are penny pincher senior citizens...lol
