I've listened to a lot of mixes on here, but no classical/unplugged Touhou mix hits me as close to home as this one. I found this song about two years ago and have been listening to Touhou mixes since. This not only the first song I found, but the best I've found so far.
Inexplicably, this song has fewer than 10k views while certainly being amongst the finest in Kakashi's collection. Thanks for spreading the joy, sensei.
This song is absolutely brilliant. So full of emotion that even if you don't know who Reimu is or anything about her, you can understand her past. Get a feel for what it was like for her and how sad it was.

Well, now that I look back, I agree, I did overreact quite a bit.
Why I overreacted is because some of the requests where a bit... hard to fulfill, I expected some Mima requests or some other stuff, not tracks I didn't know existed.
Well what I wanted to say was not to be disappointed if I cannot find the track that was requested, or if it was not uploaded in this compilation.

You gave me an idea. Reimu seems to hate youkai for no particular reason right? What if youkai killed her family? eh?
Now that I think of it Reimu's personality is of someone who lost their family. She likes to brush people off when they try get close to her; like Marisa, although I think Reimu secretly likes Marisa's company.
Snowy music is always awesome, I love this upload.
The mood conveyed by this arrange... it feels like a dark reason to fight. I can imagine Reimu's emotionless face in the falling snow, as she shows no remorse to her enemies. I can't imagine Reimu being able to cry anymore, as if a shell has been erected.
The beginning of 1:20+ feels like an increase of intensity as Reimu kills her opponents. I can imagine her walking away tilting her head back to glance at the fallen enemies before continuing.
The scenario feels like a muted snowfield, with only this music playing throughout. 2:35+ feels like Reimu is reflecting upon her dark past, but I still cannot imagine Reimu being able to cry anymore despite remembering the happy times she had experienced with her family. (3:13) feels like desperation to keep the tears back...
4:08+ feels like Reimu is recalling the dire circumstances that led to her family's death.
then finally it feels likes she breaks... (4:44) It feels like cannot stop

Very good theory, but it has a problme, Idon't really see Reimu hating youkais:
First she is friend of yukari and suika (a youkai and an oni)
Second she appears on every good ending having a tea party with the final boss of the game (most of them yokais) and end ups doing a favor for that boss (most of extra stages)
Still really good theory and it fits perfectly to the song
She's a friend to youkai, ghosts, demons, goddesses, nature spirits, and anybody whose asses she kicked. She's kinda like Nanoha but w/o the Starlight Breaker.
Really, it's as good as winter here. It's hot, then the temperature plummets at the end of September (we went from record highs to record lows this year), and we always get at least a couple snowfalls before Halloween. Thinking of which, I wonder if you have anything special for Halloween?
Anyways, this is...truly beautiful. I've never played HRtP, but I've seen a couple videos.... It doesn't look too bad, but I couldn't see myself playing it. Start to an amazing wonderland, though.

My history teacher said in the 80s or 90s she spent a whole semester in computer apps writing codes to make a fish move across the computer.
