I 2 have the 2001 model check out my videos ive spent $8000 all up making it bullet proof when we go riding all the new model 4 strokes are the 1s that break down nice bike

Its hilarious people have these bad ass bikes, but ghetto stands. If it holds the bike up, fine. But if you spend like $2500-$3000 on your bike, at least shell out an extra $60 to get a quality stand.

Yo, I have a 2001 CR250R also mines pretty much stock except it has a wiseco piston and a fmf fatty header and a powercore2 silencer and tag t2 bars and lowered double wide pegs not sure what brand because they were on it when I bought it for 1800$ a month ago. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was an advantage to the case reed design they introduced in 2002?

@Smokebunners247 smoother powerband. no real advantage i have one of the 2002 CR250 models and i really like it. they also have the electric powervalve which i dont really like so much just because i had the servo motor go in it in the past.

I love it, love the rims, i gotta get a set for mine now lol i also have an 01 and no other year model compares, its been rumoured that the 2001 CR250 was the best dirt bike ever made. But IMO it would look better with a new un-modified front fender back on her ;) but if you like it thats all that counts son!

awesome bike the cr250 2001 was way in front of any dirt bike by far all the manfactures have just recently caught up!! that bike still holds it own after 10 years of development . i always loved ktms but my 2003sx250 would rattle you from the power and vibration but i think ktm has come pretty close to perfect for trailring now its only taken 10 years ha ha ha

@popesdope86 Yeh they dont make very many for the older bikes. What i did was just order a sticker kit and make my own. You can also get a newer one and maby cut it to fit..but yeh that sucks for us with the older bikes its hard to find nice grafix kits....thanks for the comment on my bike
