arsenic is all natural and is not considered safe. Regulation will prevent false claims and will ensure testing of products for safety and quality.I see nothing stated in these arguments against this bill that are compelling in any way.They are made up of logical falicies:.Ad hominem

The Natural Health Product Regulations, introduced in 2004, will continue to operate the same way under the proposed Bill C-51. Bill C-51 has been drafted to complement and support current policies for natural health products.

I think that Bill C51 is a good idea.I don't think it is tough enough on "natural" medicines.The problem is that "natural" medicines aren't regulated enough.People who are taking supplements aren't telling their doctors about it and are having serious side effects to any interactive medicines they may be on.People think that "natural" means safe, this is a completely false statement.If you regulate them through quality controls.If you can have them tested in actual clinical studies.

If echinacea clinical trials show they had no effect, then how is echinacea harmful? How is it unsafe? How are chemical alternatives any safer? Specific remedies work for specific conditions. Understand that not everyone responds to the same herbs in the same way. Perhaps those taking echinacea didn't need it and were deficient in other necessary elements to boost the effectiveness of the echinacea. What were the controls in this study? Did people go home and eat microwave leftovers?

Did participants not assimilate the echinacea properly because of the health of their diet and organism? Were tinctures or herbs used? Fluouride recently made the news in mainstream media again. Canadian Dental Association released an announcement that fluoride is beneficial blah blah blah. And further when our father was in the hospital my brother mentioned chelation therapy as a possibility. We would have paid this out of own pocket. (Hospital located in the Greater Toronto Area). We were told if we went ahead with chelation,they would not be able to provide any further treatment of theirs at that point and they would discharge him. Years ago I went for an annual checkup and during the course of conversation I mentioned that I take several natural supplements/vitamins.After all we don't always eat right do we? Anyway the doctor's response was 'you should get everything you need per what you eat'. Well I know what is done to the majority of our food supply, so I laughed out loud at his comment. He became quite rude. If it's not in their medical textbooks then mainstream medicine does not believe in it or endorse it.
