When you were talking about the dancing mania, I thought you were going to mention the tarantella. From what I know, in Italy around medieval times, there was this belief going around that the only way to cure a spider bite was to dance wildly (the idea was that the dancers would sweat out the poison). An Italian word for spider is tarantola and that's where the dance got its name. Anyway, I'm not sure if that's entirely correct, if it's feel free to contradict me.

There are lots of great stories from the middle ages, and punching in different key words on google can get you some of them. One story I may cover later was about 2 green children that were found by some villagers. Also, a great book to read about a knight in the 14th century is called 'A Distant Mirror' by Barbara Tuchman. It's full of interesting facts and stories.
