  • That's very Ominous

    Sign of Evil to come

  • You should send this to NOAA. This is a VERY valuable video. Thanks for posting it. I lived in Mesa for seven years and NEVER so anything this intense. As global warming proceeds, we'll see more and more of these. Already, AZ is entering its normal period - what would be drought to us - and leaving the abnormal with what we think is the normal amount of precipitation.

  • @jhorne18: Good suggestion :) I just sent them the video!

  • Wow, that looks creepy.

  • Cool

  • do you have a lot of bad weather out there and how is it around may june july august

  • @natural381: No, not a lot of bad weather at all. May-Aug. is just a lot of sunny, scorching (110+), dry, still weather. People say Jun-Aug. is our "monsoon" season, but weather stats say most of our yearly rain is in the Spring.

  • how often dose this happen in arizona?

  • @MrAnonymous483: They usually happen during the summer monsoon seasons. They're usually much smaller. The last one I remember that was this size was in 1997.

  • What caused this??

  • @isurfu2ube: I'm no weather expert, but I think they're basically due to downdrafts from nearby storms. Given we're in the desert and in a drought (as always), the winds pick up the dust along with it.

  • @stephanie1989az i see, well the weather is becoming more weirder, maybe Haarp has something to do with all this crazy weather?

  • do you get scare when this happen is it dangerous do the wind get dangerous

  • @natural381: They're high winds of course, but not like a hurricane or tornado speeds. It's dangerous if you're driving because it's basically brown fog. Visibility drops to near zero within seconds. If you're just standing on the porch like I was - not dangerous.

  • Well you know, not fog... but it looks like it.

  • @stephanie1989az - well there is the danger of Valley Fever if you breath in the dust...

  • do you get scare when this happen is it dangerous

  • no se mira nada gringos,I don´t see anything gringos

  • how long do the storm last

  • @natural381: About 30 minutes, but the leftover dust is still there about 3 hours later

  • I think its absolutely insane it turned day into night lol. Holy crap.

  • wer at in mesa cuzh i stay in mesa im a lil freakd out lol

  • @voicemaker18: Northwest Mesa (about Country Club Dr. & McKellips)

  • "i never ever seen a thing like that in my whole entire real life"

  • i saw a ufo in that cloud from another video -_- or something like a ufo

  • Wow datz crazi how it turns frum day in2 nite in less than 5 minz.

Eny way i like tha video :-)

  • @shadowfaxx1: Yeah it is difficult to breathe by the time it arrives - dust gets in everything, from your eyes, nose, mouth, hair... everything. You can still smell the dust everywhere a week later.

  • Is it tough to breathe in?

  • creepy

  • As a weather geek myself, I think it's pretty awesome!

  • "look at how fast that shits goin"

    Ear muffs!

  • That one was BY FAR the best dust storm ive been in.

    It was fun as hell.

  • wow thats crazzy..

  • @JerryFromNewJersey There is really not much excitement here. There are fun things to do in AZ if you have the money to do so (such as travel & outdoor activities that are out of the city). Summer is bad down here for outdoor stuff. Pretty much the only thing to do in the city is...shopping. Compared to other states, the weather is really quite a yawn. I was born here in '89 and have always lived in AZ - I can say it might just be a fun place to visit for a weekend.

  • shit i was thinking of going to collage there but i dont think im going after watching this 0_0

  • @eljamlo0oz asu?

  • @eljamlo0oz : Plenty of other good colleges elsewhere *hint* :)

  • True! It wasn't a disaster, but when people down here get anything weather-related (besides sun, heat, no clouds, and more sun), we go bonkers with excitement and run to grab our cameras.

  • @stephanie1989az Not trying to sound like im bashing anyone but it seems like thats the most excitement you get out of Arizona huh? is there really anything fun to do down there?

  • @stephanie1989az lol sounds like my kind of town! And I'm not kidding either...I hope I can live there one day.

  • @ncPsychosis: Hey we can switch! I think any place in the U.S. (except L.A.) would be better than here. :(

  • At least its not hiding tornados....!

  • that looks crazy

  • O_o

  • thats a good view...
