"The love of a mother is a sample of God's love." Mary is a good example of following God's Will. Her yes to give birth to Christ is why we are all given the chance for salvation - without her, Christ would not have been able to come and give himself up on the cross. What is even more astounding is Mary's obedience, because she gave up her ONLY child, to us. She is the perfect example of a mother and follower of Christ. This is not evil - this is Mary obediently following the Will of God.

Once in Exodus when the tablets of the Ten Commandments (word of God) are put in arc of the covenant and once when the Angel Gabriel appears to Mary and tells her that Jesus (the Word of God) will be conceived in her womb. At this point the angel uses the same verb “overshadow” that was used in Exodus (translations into English vary).

On Easter Sunday I downloaded both sides of the Miraculous Medal with the inscription in French. It also contained exactly 54 letters.

The Blessed Virgin Mary encouraged us to pray the rosary for world peace. I have added this prayer at the end of each decade. I made this observation at an evening devotion of the Blessed Sacrament on a first Friday of the month years ago and wanted to share it with others.

The chair you see in the shrine is the one Our Lady sat in while conversing with the saint. I believe she is the only saint to have touched Our Lady by placing her hands, folded in prayer, on her lap.
