  • Boy, King Kong. Powered the 69 Dodge Daytona #88 to over 245mph, with what was technically the 64 production hemi. The street hemi was capable of 205. That was with a four speed, most cars can barely do that with 6 speeds. My 69 Charger has a 528 Six Pack in it right now puttin around 760 RWHP to the ground. When i get the money Im picking up mopars all aluminum 426, boring it to around 472 cubes, putting twin 1000cfm carbs on it, and whatever else i can think of. Until then 8.4@160 is good

  • Dyno Don would disagree. Looks like one Chevy fanboy asshole didn't like this video.

  • All Hail Our Blessed Lady of Acceleration, the Almighty Mother Mopar!

  • darkrx777 is a idiot, Hemi's and 440's kicked Chevy and Ford's ass until they were weighed down. so much for healthy competition huh?

  • only in america..fantastic...

  • I'm putting a HEMI in my power wagon! Yea babe

  • go mopar go the hemi go the slant

  • Chrysler has always made the best engines. I love Chevys....but motor for motor, Chrysler wins hands down. If i could get me a Chevelle...bout a 72 model because they are my favorite and put a 426 or if i was lucky, a 512 hemi in it, id be a happy man.

  • fuck off chevero geek, we don't need your good cheer. Get a mopar, or get lost.

  • i own a durango with a 360....so i think i got the mopar covered...thanks for the suggestion tho...idiot

  • Mopar 'til I die

  • All you Chevy and Ford fans....remember ALL top fuel and funny cars are powered by an updated Chrysler hemi. You know why? In the 60s and 70s NO Chevy or Ford engine could compete with Chrysler Hemi and that is why it is still THE KING engine. In pro stock, only by weighing down the Mopars with 400-500 lbs. of extra weight did chevy have a chance.

  • Actually, it was 213lbs -- Pro Stock was 7.00 lbs per cubic inch and they handicapped the HEMI to 7.50 lbs per cubic inch. This made the Mopars approx 2 tenths slower. Later, Mopar experimented with a 396ci Hemi because it made almost as much HP and the car was lighter.

  • V8 e Born To be Wild combinam como Queijo e Goiaba, realmente fantástico esse vídeo, eu nasci na época errada mesmo...

  • me too, makes me proud to be Mopar, and wonder how anyone could NOT.

  • Awesome.Makes the hairs stand up on my neck!!!!

  • well I like the 69 charger with a hemi

becuase I think they sound pretty with a 500 hemi

  • Wish i could have bought one!! WATE!! You still can!!

  • No ricer can give you the rush that these monsters do!

  • Awesome vid. Breath taking for a mopar fan

  • MAGIC

  • Hemi 4-ever!!!!!!

  • Pure poetry.

Ford? GM? Chevy?--- they all use Hemi heads.

    Chrysler rules.

  • Chevy had the Wedged pistons, more torque than hemi i think

  • Hey chivvy lover, GET LOST, this is a Dodge video.

  • and Plymouth (Y)

  • there's a lot of debate about this, because everyone underrated their engines at the time to help with insurance. However, it's generally thought that the Hemi was the most efficient big block for its capacity...remember that GM/Chevy did bigger engines than Chrysler-the biggest wedgehead that Chrysler did was 440 whereas GM/Chevy did 454. and the Hemi was 'only' 426

  • Video has good pictures of the now late, Dick Landy.

  • WOW dude this stuff is GREAT!!! Keep em coming!

  • Thanks!
