The shuttle program was canceled because it is antique technology. We now have the SR-75 and TR-3B programs. They are classified, but offer airfield to orbit and deep space capability.
@ThamelasStormrage Hi, Thamelas. Welcome to the idiot's internet. Shuttle is hardly antique, as it was ~40% through its lifespan before terribly retired.
The "SR-75" and "TR-3B" are complete fantasy. Anyone reading wikipedia's stuff on the next USAF bombers can figure that out. And I'm a new Aero Engineer! I wonder what Youtube will think of your comment from now on... Good luck getting pity attention from the under-educated ^__^ -jeff
i went to titusville to see the shuttle land...it was discoverys last flight....i was on the bridge as close as i could get to the airport....sounded like a damn canon went off next to me! also lucky enough to see endeavor from the causeway area. nasa gave me tickets! amazing. so lucky to see that. and i could here the sonic boom on return from like 60 miles away, albeit a bit toned down. windows rattled slightly.
@abhiginimav~~~ I lived in Titusville for 3 years and see the launches and landings never got old!!! Anywhere along the Indian River in Titusville you have one of the best vantage points!!
@casurfer1973 yeah. ive since moved out of the country (i was only studying there in new smyrna) but im sure as hell coming back for the launch of the (ares?) rockets coming up! i just wish i was born and living in america when the apollo missions went up!
