What a load of horseshit. Calling him evil, and then talking about his appearance and saying he looked rather repulsive - consider, rather, his healing powers instead of his outward appearance. A lot of men had beard and slightly longer hair in those times in Russia, nothing unusual. He was highly revered and respected by those around him, people called him "Holy Father." I must admit he was at times a belligerent drunk but don't we all have our shortcomings? Nevertheless he was great.

alright most explicitly, the khlyst stuff to this documentary is totally nonsense. in many other parts, I can't believe they allowed this to be made. there is such a bias, such perversion of facts, that this does not say anything real about rasputin.
the bolsheviks villified rasputin a great amount, and turned him into a symbol of what was wrong with tsarist russia. but all the speakers in this documentary appear to have seen only the propaganda, but no other real sources.
