GRan Mario del Monaco¡ pero esta no creo que sea su mejor version del Nessun dorma, en concreto prefiero la de DECCA del 59', la voz mas fresca y no tan obscura como aqui. De todas forma, MDM siempre lo hace portentoso. Corelli es el otro grande en poderio vocal.

How sick of the ear can anybody be to hear that B flat? Del Monaco had an excellent C and he even sang D flats. The demand to sing mostly Otello make him adjust his singing to be, as he was, the greatest Otello of all times.

You're completely right, he is not "flat" on the B. And he does hold it for a bit. His voice is rich, which makes it sound flat, but he nailed it.

He's not out of tune on the B. He does hit it, just doesn't hold it long. Not showing off, doing acrobatics that are not in service to the music. I do find his rendition a bit more stentorian than tender and emotional however.

It seems like he can never sing a B in tune although I have heard him sing a high C before but everytime he sings Nessun Dorma, the last B is always a tiny bit flat.

Fue un gran tenor, pero definitivamente en las tres versiones que le he escuchado de esta canción no puede con el final, es muy notorio le cuesta sostener la nota alta y baja rapidamente, lo mismo aunque mas notorio he notado en CARUSO cuando canta en dueto O'suave Fanciulla al final increíblemente en lugar de ir para arriba en el final baja la nota, la verdad es que no se a que se pueda haber debido al parecer he leido que Caruso tenia problemas con los do de pecho.....
