  • Clean your fretboard!!! YUCK! For such a beautiful instrument thats an open handed slap in the face... Theres a difference between well played and aged, and grimey and unkempt

  • Hey mate, like everyone else, fantastic review and really informative. Better than 99% of reviews out there by a country mile. Could I ask how come you didn't replace the mid as well? If I went with a mid/neck set, would it still give me the 'nice, thick tone' you talk about in the review, without hum? I'm really aiming for a notchy traditional inbetween sound without the hum. Thanks in advance.

  • can some 1 please tell me how the cruiser would sound in the middle because i am REALLY close to buying these pickups for the middle position for my guitar but i have not yet heard how the pickups sound in middle position.

  • @jermrox1 They sound great on all positions! The tone is smooth yet crunchy, and if you back the volume down the tone remains rich and the sound cleans up even more! and they handle distortion really, really well too, these are probably one of the best all round pickups I've ever tested!

  • @mikebaughuk Thank u A LOT man. that really makes my decision of buying a cruiser much easier!

  • The middle pickup is a custom wound Dimarzio that comes with the Musicman. With regards to putting a neck cruiser in the neck position, Andy Timmons puts a bridge cruiser in this position as it gives him more clarity and top end. I think if you went with a neck pickup it would give you a more mellow sound basically.

I'm sure it would sound great it's just down to personal taste and your style of playing I guess. If your more of a blues player a neck cruiser might be the way forward.

  • What was the middle pickup?

And what difference would it make if I put a neck cruiser in the neck position?

  • @Komodojou The middle pickup was a custom around dimarzio that they make for Ernie Ball musician guitars, I love it, but I highly recommend a cruiser in the middle position, this is what Andy Timmons does and it feels and sounds stunning!

  • Fantastic Demo... all types of sounds, clean mid and dirty, very good

  • btw man was it in anyways more difficult to fit the bridge pickup in hte neck (cruiser) ? and what pots you using in the neck and bridge? 250k or 500k?

  • @xxxEnterSandmanXxX Not really as there is plenty of cable! Dimarzio make awesome stuff, and it wasn't difficult to install at all, as regards to the control pots I really have no idea but I'm sure if you go to the musician website and look at the musician silhouette special spec it will tell you on there, hope this helps!

  • Man this is probably the best demo of any product ive EVER heard and i have heard a lot..perfect ratio of info to playing. No bullshit and a great overall view of the versatility of the pickups. You my friend have sold me these pups. keep it up! subbed \m/

  • @xxxEnterSandmanXxX Thanks for the kind words! you'll love these pickups.
