I DO love the design of the Challenger... People may say its a little on the chubby side..but hell so am I.. It's a heavier car but it runs very well... Test drove a challenger on Friday... the 392 CI hemi... Talk about big balls... That car has a LOT of balls.
Styling wise the only thing on those three cars I cannot stand is the Challenger's mirrors. Look at them they're like mickey mouse ears. On that aggressive looking car you need aggressive looking mirrors, like the other two have. Heck, I think my dad's 2009 Nissan Altima has better mirrors. Not saying it isn't a great car, they just need different mirrors for it.

The new stang is just a better engineered car. Remember ford never took a break from making (pony cars) mustangs. They've had more time to refine and tune it. It's lighter more efficient, the only knock on it is that it has a live rear axel. And yes a plain Jane stang is not much to look at but they are the easiest of the 3 to accessorize. U can have a bad ass looking stang for just a few hundred bucks!
I've had this race over and over above sea level and the outcome in 10 races was 8 camaro wins 2 mustang wins and 0 wins for the challenger. Not sure is it's shifting as they were all manual or power to weight ratio but the mustang and camaro races were all closer then this one race.

i drove all three before ordering my challenger. the challenger needs to lose weight which i will seriously look at but it is by far the best car to drive everyday. the camaro sucks, you can't see anything and the feel is all wrong from the steering wheel to the shifter. the stang is fun, drives nice but is too dam small. if want to cram myself into a car, it will be a real race car, not a car i'm driving 2-3 days a week on the street. i get to the track once a month. not worth it to me.

@misterdrifter, The 2005 Mustang is based off of the 2000-2003 Lincoln LS platform. That's why the 2005 and up mustangs are longer and heavier than the SN-95 & SN-98 platforms. All of these Mustangs still have the tried and true 8.8 rear axle except the 1999-2001 Cobras. I seriously doubt that nissan uses 8.8 in their vehicles! The designer at Ford just retro the 2005 Mustangs.

@misterdrifter, The 2005 Mustang is based off of the 2000-2003 Lincoln LS platform. That's why the 2005 and up mustangs are longer and heavier than the SN-95 & SN-98 platforms. All of these Mustangs still have the tried and true 8.8 rear axle except the 1999-2001 Cobras. I seriously doubt that nissan uses 8.8 in their vehicles! The designer at Ford just retro the 2005 Mustangs.

In 2005 when the new body came. The new bodys suspension was inspired by the 350Z. Dsigned and sold to Ford By Renault & Nissan of Kyoto. AKA Japan. @MisterDrifter240 Dude, technicians troubleshoot, and fix problems within vehicles, they don't design them like engineers do, therefore, I can pretty much tell you're making this shit up like any hypocritical bastard on youtube. The 05-09 sn-197 models use a macpherson shock system, which is a layout that was designed here in the U.S.A and the rear suspension is nothing more than a live setup, evolved from ford's sn95 models. Any car with an RWD setup can drift, no special system is reqired.

@W0Wman1 I've driven an SRT8, and although i LOVE that car, sadly it doesn't surprise me that it came last - because all these cars put out around the same power, but the Mustang is the lightest, Camaro is second lightest, and Challenger is just mad heavy... I've actually driven all three - The mustang and camaro come really close (it's a driver's test), but the SRT8 is just too heavy... although it sounds damn good!!! and it the most comfortable one out of all three... but has worst MPG =(

@rjacksonII08 i know what you mean, but the audi tt-rs (while much more expensive than the 5.0) is a 2.5 liter inline 5 and makes 340-360 horsepower but manages a 0-60 time similar or faster than the 5.0 and a faster top speed.
it is not all about engine size, especially when BMW and Audi are using turbochargers or superchargers straight out the factory.
