I've got to disagree with you here.  Though this song is amazing, I haven't heard as much of their material. If they can replicate this power and style, they could be one of the best bands of our era. However, the 'Stripes have already proven themselves as heavyweights and earned that credit. Jack White is one of the best guitarists ever. I think it's too soon to tell. I'll be keepin my eye on 'em. Have you listened to these guys record yet? Whaddya think?

i hear ya. their album's on itunes. it's top-notch. fantastic tunes throughout. i would have liked more acoustic material but hey, it's their first album. my opinion is that album is the best made in a long, long, time.
