Love the vid, very nice layout...but, TripleCrowns on flatcars? Roadrailer, man, Roadrailer.....j/k. I wanted to ask and forgot, what are you using for coupling/uncoupling on classification tracks? Exactly how does that work? Thanks!
Actually, all of my freight cars still have horn hook couplers since I haven't had the time and money to switch to Kadees yet. So, uncoupling is done by hand. When I switch to Kadees, I'll probably use a coupler pick or some similar tool for uncoupling.
The TripleCrown trailers on the flatcars are Athearn trailers that weren't made for roadrailer running. But I do have 62 Bowser TripleCrown trailers, 40 of which are set up for rail service.
Haven't been to Norwalk in years (wanting to say around 1990). Unfortunately, with having to work the day after and the long drive, it'd be impossible to make it. Thanks for the invite.

Come up to Norwalk and run on our layout. We are downtown above the karate place across from the county courthouse. Tues. 6pm-?.

even for those units moters being that noisy, it kinda adds a realistic touch?

sounds like one of the wheels is rubbing the ties

That's actually the sounds of the motors. They're some of my oldest locomotives, and I'm planning on cleaning and tuning up the motors before long.

Actually, they are Atlas SD24s. I've had them since sometime in the 1980s.
