Maybe I'm just an old fart that appreciates a song in it's original format but why did you ruin a well-written piece of music with a remix? Albannach is a great band, IMO you did them a grave disservice with the remix. I respectfully request you please replace the mix with the original. Just a trequest.

Did I ruin it? If you hadn't heard the original would you have been quite as critical?
The band have heard it and no one objected to it.
I'm friends with the band and I've seen them many times and yes they are a
great band, even travelled to America to see them.
They know I'd never do them a disservice, did I improve on the track, no! I thought I'd try something different to accompany my photos!
Glad you made it home 58,000 weren't so lucky.

@glamrockdj I'll answer you in the order of your questions to keep it simple:
1. IMO, yes but I, for the most part, enjoy the original version of any song.
2. If Albannach approved, although I still don't like the remix, then their approval is all you need.
3. Thank you! I've seen enough of death to last me several lifetimes and more. It occasionally still gets to me.
4. Thank you again! I still can't. Too many ghosts come to mind just thinking about it, but I salute you for doing so!

I love your choice for the bacground music. I was looking for pics of Albannach, cuz my daughter met them at one of the Highland Games in NH, and
I wanted to see pics of the guys she was hanging out with. She is in a pipe and drum band, also
